The RAFA Lowestoft and District helps and supports retired RAF personnel, financially and materially and its activities are as prescribed by The RAFA and The RAF Benevolent Fund

Collecting monies from Lodge registrations which go to our benevolent fund. At the moment we take nothing from registrations but this will change on the next return, it was decided to to take 0.05p from each registration paid to the Doncaster Province. We are also now receiving donations from our Minor Lodges in the Doncaster Province.

Donations to Masonic and local registered charities.Support of Lodge members in distress and their families.

THE CHARITY IS PREDOMINANTLY A MASONIC CHARITY, HOWEVER IN 2014to2015 . WE GAVE GRANTS TO NON-MASONIC CHARITIES. GRANTS WENT TO THE BLOODFAST EVS:SOLDIERS SAILORS AIRMEN FAMILIES ASSOCIATION. GRANTS WERE 50% TO MASONIC CHARITIES AND 50% TO OTHER CHARITIES. WE ALSO ORGANISED RAFFLES FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES.

Small grants are made to female individuals who are in need of financial assistance and who worship at Sherwood United Reformed Church.

Donations to various organisations including hospitals and on occasions to poor individuals
