Relief of Poverty

The principal activity of SYPP is the provision of a detached youth work project supporting young people living in the Saffron Estate, Leicester & other areas with a similar economic profile in Leicestershire, in accessing & developing opportunities available. Issues include bullying, unemployment, racism, social exclusion & deprivation. The Estate is in the top 2% most deprived areas in England.

The charity seeks to prevent or relieve poverty in the Earlsfield and surrounding areas by providing food to individuals in need. The charity's main activity is to run a foodbank one morning per week to help those living in the SW18 and SW17 postcode areas who are short of food or other essentials. Donations of money and food are primarily received through local churches, mosque and supermarkets.

The Link Community Hub helps and supports people who are disadvantaged due to poverty, deprivation, and circumstances. We offer support in education, activities and advice for those to the local and wider. Seeking to relieve the want and poverty in Wakefield and the surrounding areas by providing a Resource Centre. Opening 5 days a week clients from any race or background via a referral system can visit the CAP centre. Here they will find friendship, counselling, clothing, shower facility and referral to other agencies as required.
