The FOSJ have a twofold remit within the school:To contribute to the school community by organising social events for the enjoyment and benefit of the children, parents and families, to raise funds for the school for the educational benefit of the children.

The objective is to provide friendship, education and leisure activities without distinction of political, religious or ethnic opinions in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

The WI educates women through educational events, speakers and trips. We support our local community in Gateshead by volunteering for other charitable organisations. We support local women through friendship and socialising.

The main role of the charity is to raise funds for Osborne School which is a state school for children with a wide range of learning difficulties. The charity also seeks to encourage social interaction between staff, parents, pupils and friends of the school.

The provision and maintenance of the village hall for the use of the residents of Skirwith and the wider community. To instigate, promote, manage and support social events, clubs and classes for the benefit of the community.

Fernham Village Trust now runs Fernham Village Hall and holds a lease from the Church of England which retains the property freehold, The Trust lets the hall to individuals, clubs and societies, runs a number of fundraising events including an annual summer fete and fireworks display, and social events run solely for the benefit of Fernham residents.

The Friends of Springhallow support the activities of Springhallow School. Springhallow is a school for pupils with autistic spectrum/communication disorders in Ealing , London. Children at the school have learning difficulties, ranging from moderate to severe. The Friends raise money primarily through social events, to provide additional facilities to the school.

To relieve and promote the rehabilitation of amputees and those with vascular difficulties, by providing advice, information and support, and professional and recreational activities not only to them, but also family, friends, and carers, with a view to improving their quality of life and to help with social inclusion.

The object of the group is to boost the morale of both patient and their families by providing support, guidance and advice by maintaining contact by meetings, social events and provide advice from professional Speakers at monthly meetings. We also support cardiac rehabilitation programmes and make donations from time to time to the Cardiac Units at the two main Nottingham Hospitals.

To advance education, promote community participation in healthy recreation, by providing facilities for football and other sports, safe spaces for sports, leisure time occupations for children, young people and the elderly. Including those with additional needs through poverty, disablement, age, or social welfare. Facilitating active promotion of health, wellbeing & social inclusion.

Group and individual learning and social activities in a variety of accessible locations both indoors and outdoors.

Ramblers group, Book club, Cinema and Theatre group, Craft group, Educational and Pleasure outings, Friendship Luncheon group, Social group, friendship lunch, plus a couple of fundraising events each year.

General meeting place for Orwell and surrounding villages, for villagers to engage in such activities as the Womens' Institute, Parish Council & Friendship Club.A venue for private parties and events.A venue for activities, such as pannier markets and jumble sales.A venue for the arts, including the Orwell Film Club.A venue for exercise activities such as aerobics, yoga & carpet bowls.

FORGS runs activities to raise money for Redland Green School, to be used to provide extra facilities, equipment and opportunities for its pupils. FORGS also undertakes to provide social events for the children, staff and carers associated with the school, in order to promote a greater sense of welbeing and community. FORGS will also help to represent the school within the wider community.

We are an independent and entirely volunteer-run organisation organising social activities for adults with learning disabilities. We provide an outlet for social interaction specifically for adults with learning disabilities to socialise with their peers on a regular basis, in a safe and friendly environment, in the form of weekly evening sessions and seasonal day trips at the weekend.

Bradford and Bingley Canoe Club and its members are dedicated to promoting canoeing and kayaking for fun, fitness, and friendship. The Club is active year round and there are planned activities throughout the week. Members of all ages are encouraged to compete in canoe slalom and down-river racing as well as river trips and social events.
