Shadeaid raises money through fundraising activities such as social events by selling entry and raffle tickets, auctions, selling food etc. Shadeaid also encourages donations. The main work of the charity is to assist deprived people of South Sudan mainly in the neighbouring countries where they take refuge e.g Sudan, DRC , Uganda and Kenya. Working mostly in Sudan. Priority is school children.

The friends of Saint Georges School fundraise for the school and organise social events providing links between parents, teachers, children and the local community.

The charity already provides a wide range of leisure and social activities for all age groups based in the village of Cutthorpe. The Charity will continue to develop new activities to meet the identified needs of the Cutthorpe villagers.

Our main focus is raising public awareness concerning modern slavery through printed material and talks. We are active members of the local anti slavery partnership and offer financial and other help to front line charities working with victims and survivors.

Arford is part of Hampshire Women's Institute and meets on the 4th Thursday of each month at the church centre in Headley. The W.I's activities are centred on promoting friendship, companionship and education within the local community. The WI are also involved in important debates which affect the whole country and other peoples worldwide.

The objects of Inner Wheel are to promote true friendship, to encourage the ideals of personal service and to foster international understanding.

The charity is responsible for the Wollerton Village Room which is available to all local residents for cultural, sporting and recreational purposes. Use of the Village Room over recent years has been made by the Parish Council, slimming club, dog training club, gardening club as well as for bridge, bingo and various private social events.

Hopper Haven provides care for unwanted, elderly, aggressive, ill or neglected rabbits (and previously guinea pigs). All animals are provided with spacious accomodation and appropriate care and companionship. Hopper Haven has places for a maximum of 16 rabbits (and no guinea pigs at this time).Hopper Haven also provides advice and information about proper care of these species.

To provide a safe enviroment for elderly, and disabled people to come together and socialise, play games, participate in discussions, arm chair exercise and share experiences. They are provided with a hot nutritious meal at the centre.The users also enjoy participating in summer BBQ, and trips, including to the seaside and theatre, as well as celebrating events such as Black History Month

PJC are one of the oldest practising judo clubs in SW UK operating since 1955. It's a member of the National Governing Body for Olympic Judo, the British Judo Association. The club is fundraising to secure permanent premises and are providing Judo and martial art facilities and instruction to the people of Plymouth, Devon and the SW contributing to health and social activities of the public.

A local woman's group which is part of a national organisation, we meets monthly to learn about diverse topics, discuss a variety of issues, and socialise within a village community. Helping out at local events and supporting other local charities.
