We run a weekly drop in centre to support adults of all ages who have or have had mental health problems. We provide tea, coffee, various chocolate biscuits or just a friendly face for a chat, plus games, such as cards and Scrabble, and craftwork. Organised social activities are arranged monthly.

The Inner Wheel meets monthly & raises money for local & overseas causes, the President of the year decides on a charity of her choice & all main fund raising goes to that charity, the club also carries out social events.

Raising funds in support of Surgery and to assist in purchasing new equipment for the benefit of patients, also organising social activities to do same.

Ability Sports and Social supports Adults with a wide Variety of Learning and Physical Disabilities by giving them access to a wide Variety of Sporting and Social Activities.

The Merchant Navy Association Harwich & District provides a meeting place for serving and retired Merchant Navy seafarers to meet and have social intercourse, receive welfare back up were necessary and socialise with other local exservicemens and civilian organisations. The association also has erected a memorial to british Merchant Navy Seafarers and continues to be responsible for its protection

Supporting the school and social activities for staff and parents

We hold fundraising/social events to benefit the pupils and the school. All monies raised are used to enhance the childrens learning environment.

Hold cake sales and organise other fundraising to facilitate workshops, outings, social events for the school and the community. We also run and support learning after school.

THE OBJECT OF THE ASSOCIATION IS TO ADVANCE THEEDUCATION OF PUPILS IN THE SCHOOL BY: DEVELOPING EFFECTIVE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN STAFF, PARENTS AND OTHERS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SCHOOL ENGAGING IN ACTIVITIES OR PROVIDING FACILITIES OR EQUIPMENT WHICH SUPPORT THE SCHOOL AND ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUPILS.RAISING FUNDS TO FACILITATE THESE OBJECTIVES BY HOLDING FUNDRAISING AND SOCIAL EVENTS.

The PTFA works with our school, pupils, staff, parents and the local community to raise the profile of ourschool and to raise funds to enable the pupils to experience a wider education than would be otherwisepossible. We liase with the headteacher and other staff to raise funds for specific projects as required,and put on other social events to bring the community together with the school.

Guiding is open to girls and women between the ages of 5-25 and includes all abilities and ethnic origins. Through activities we offer the opportunity to experience fun, friendship and adventure, to enable them in their development to become confident, capable and caring individuals, through their personal life and as willing citizens to contribute to their community.

We are affiliated to the National Deaf Childrens Society and our aim is to support and advise families in all aspects of hearing impairment from birth to young adulthood. Our role covers the social, welfare, education, medical and technological aspects of deafness in children. We organise events and outings to bring families together to encourage friendship and support.

Marlins is a well-established club providing swimming and other activities for people with special needs in the Bedford area. Swimming sessions take place on Sunday evenings and are supported by an experienced team of volunteers. Additionally various other social activities take place throughout the year. Membership is open to anyone regardless of age or disability.

Providing a connection for European-Asian understanding and friendship.

Montacute Parent and Friends Association organises fund-raising activities, e.g. Social events, Summer Fete, etc. Funds raised are used to enchance the opportunities of our young people who have severe and complex disabilities. We support events such as The Christmas Party and The Summer Prom, theatre and outdoor activities and help purchase specialist equipment.
