Woodley & District u3a provides mutual learning, education and social activities for the retired and semi-retired in Woodley (Berkshire) and the surrounding area.

We provide a safe warm space for young people to attend and engage in an arrangement of activities including: leisure sports, crafts, social interaction and other activities that young people wish to participate in. We operate in the building Chesterton Vision Centre on specific days and times through out the week this delivered through dedicated volunteers.

The promotion of social inclusion among young people aged 10 to 25 years old with physical disabilities, who are socially excluded from society, or parts of society, as a result of their disability. To provide help, support and advice for young people with physical disabilities and their families. To provide workshops, forums, advocacy and general support alongwith recreational facilities.

We hold social events such as an International Evening, Quiz Night, and Christmas and Summer Fairs on the school grounds in order to raise funds and to bring parents, teachers, pupils and the community together. Funds raised are spent on improving facilities or providing culturally and educationally enriching opportunities that would otherwise be difficult to afford.

The Senior Club provides a comfortable and welcome meeting place available for all elderly people (aged 55 and over) in Wem and district. The Senior Club is used on most days of the week for a wide variety of activities, including coffee mornings, indoor bowls, talks, keep fit, bingo and social events. In addition,regular outings are arranged by the Club.

A village hall for the use of people of the village and surrounding area to hold classes, exercise classes, social events and meetings. Also private adult and children's parties.

Providing networking/support/social events for hearing impaired children and their children in the South Staffordshire region. Providing equipment to support children with their learning and engagement with the wider society. Supporting the local education Support Service for hearing impaired pupils who provide parent and pupil support events.

St Johns CEVAP School Parent Teacher Association.Raises funds to help the school provide extra resources to the benefit of the pupils. Runs social events for parents and children; providing an opportunity for people to meet and get to know each other. Provides support for school trips and outings and other special events.

Running a community garden, involving all the local community through education, recreation and social activities

Alton Men's Shed is equipped with a range of tools, materials and a social area, in which mainly retired men can socialise and make things for themselves & for local charities & voluntary organisations. Additionally, we undertake projects in the community through liaison with care homes & other local charity management teams. Member's experience & skills are shared to motivate each other on tasks.

The community centre is of service to the community of Llantwit Fardre & beyond. It provides a safe & secure environment for a wide range of activities, ranging from playgroup to OAP drama, dancing, social activities and many more.
