The principal activity of the Society is the provision of accommodation, care and companionship for lonely & frail elderly people in accordance with the aims and prinicples of The Abbeyfield Society.

The promotion of: - social inclusion amongst LGBTI people by preventing them from becoming socially excluded and relieving the needs of those who are- equality and diversity by the elimination of discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation, gender identity or intersex status;and advancing education and raising awareness in equality and diversity.

The charity provides free advice to the general public on a range of issues, including debt and money, benefit and tax credits, housing, family issues and consumer advice. Largely, those benefiting from our services are those most in need, particularly those in financial hardship.

To provide an immediate and sustained response to poverty and need in the local community and to support the ongoing wellbeing of those we encounter. main activities include a foodbank, a welfare benefit advice service, a counselling service, housing advice and support and a nurse led health advice and advocacy service.

The Charity seeks the relief of children in Darfur, Sudan, who are in need, hardship or distress, working with local partners to provide integrated grassroots projects identified and run by the communities - water, goat and donkey loans, mosquito nets, blankets, healthcare for mothers and babies, veterinary care, education, livelihood techniques, agricultural and environmental projects.

We provide health and wellbeing focused support to current and former pharmacists and their dependants, as well as students and trainees in Great Britain. Our support aims to meet their wellbeing needs, whether those be financial, physical, psychological or social.

Community based activities in the local area , ie after school clubs, half term courses, social inclusion and health and wellbeing sessions.

Ryedale Community Transport CIO provides a community based transport service for the residents of Ryedale, Scarborough & Whitby, District of Selby and the City of York, who are in need of such a service because of age, sickness, disability, poverty or because of lack of availability of adequate and safe public transport services.

HOPE Portsmouth runs various community projects including: Portsmouth Food Bank, Community Circles of Support, ROC Community Mentoring, undertakes various youth and children's activities, as well as Kings Church Sunday services and midweek church community activities.

Hammersmith and Fulham Law Centre has worked on the front line of advice needs for 39 years. We have legal aid contracts in housing, welfare benefits, immigration & asylum and prioritise helping those who are most vulnerable and disadvantaged. We give free legal advice and support on a range of housing issues to people in H&F and run the duty possession desk 2 days a week at our local County Court
