The main purpose of the womens institute organisation is to enable women who are interested in rural issues to improve and develop conditions of rural life; to advance their education in citizenship, cultural subjects, sports and all branches of agriculture, handicrafts, home economics, health & social welfare and uphold WI ideals.

Helped voluntary groups and charities with grants, publicity, free websites, IT support, and helping with social media.Promoted health, wellbeing and leisure activities through projects to promote walking, improve access to the countryside for people with limited mobility, and facilitate community arts projects.Promoted good citizenship by facilitating online engagement within communities.

The charity aims to promote good citizenship and greater public participation in the prevention and solution of crime by working with the Police and other partners. It aims to improve neighbourhoods by understanding local concerns and producing action plans with partners to resolve the issues.

The Airborne Initiative Trust is a registered charity whose objective is to develop the character and good citizenship of young people who are offenders or at risk of becoming offenders. It does this by arranging 5 day courses on Dartmoor for 18 to 20 year olds as an alternative to custody.

We work holistically with all members of the community in a wide range of settings to promote active citizenship, build community cohesion, reduce social exclusion, prevent anti-social behaviour and promote safer communities. All our activities are undertaken via the relevant District Neighbourhood Watch Associations and we provide support for all the Neighbourhood Watch Schemes within Norfolk.

To help through innovative and creative non-formal education young people in Liverpool, the UK and Overseas, particularly through their leisure time activities i.e. International Youth Exchanges, Training Courses and Seminars, so as to develop their participation, citizenship and individuality.

The Charity is addressing the promotion of cosmipolitan citizenship and good practice in conflict resolution with particular interest in appropriate methods for young people and educators. We are currenlty also addressing ourselves to the needs of disabled people in the urban areas of Cyprus

The Halifax 900 Trust Limited is currently examining ways to improve amenities for the visiting public to use Halifax Minster in a more accessible and useful way, with the emphasis on education, heritage and civic engagement. The Minster Development Board have produced a Liturgical Plan and a Conservation Management Plan and funding is now being sought to carry out the projects identified
