Animals Charities

The charitable purposes of the CIO are to further the welfare of animals in Cabo Verde, Africa, especially cats and dogs, by such charitable means as the trustees decide.

Use of hall for village activities, including PCC meetings, mother & toddler, nursery & pre-school, pilates, yoga, karate, flower show, history club, cafe, parties, dog shows, weddings, film shows and country fair.

Canines for Africa creates wildlife-protection and counter-poaching K9 units to help preserve species and ecosystems throughout the world.

Cat rescue and rehoming

National K9 Memorial was set up to raise funds to create the first National Memorial to recognise the sacrifice and service given by Police Dogs in the UK... this memorial has now been created and the purposes of the charity has now been met, an application to have the charity closed has now been submitted

We subsidise adults and children with disabilities to have horse riding therapy lessons

The 1st Bourne End Scout Group is organised into two Scout, two Cub and two Beaver group, each run by volunteer warranted leaders who meet weekly for planned scouting activities. An Executive Committee is elected annually by the parents and has overall responsibility for the objectives, policies and organisation of the group. These follow the Policy organisation and Rules of the Scout Association.

Promote the equine industry in general and the quality breeding of horses in particular.

Rescuing neglected and abused equines and advising owners on good care of the equines. We are here to give the equines the medical care and love that they have not had and once rehabilitated, find them their forever foster home.

We are providing group Equine Assisted Therapy and individual Equine Facilitated Learning. Our current participants are young people who are either SEN, SEMH or have a care order and adults with mental health difficulties. We also offer therapeutic riding.

Horse riding and various animal management programs for those with both physical and mental disabilities

Weekly coffee mornings,Monthly Boot Fairs, Fashion show and Christmas Fayre, Facilities used by local groups including Tai Chi, Yoga, Line Dancing,Short Mat Bowls, Photo club, Bowling Club and Parish Council. Intermittent parties, weddings, caravan clubs and now 13 Dog clubs use our facilities.

The charity was set up to relieve the suffering and distress of unwanted, stray or ill treated German Shepherd dogs primarily but not exclusively.

Village events including Donkey Derby, Shirt (Pram) Race, Fireworks, Quiz night, Garage sales, Mummers play.

Supporting and offering guidance to people with hearing impairment in the community.Deaf Social Club, Deaf Blind Group, Hard of Hearing , Hand in Hand Club meet monthly, B.S.L & Lip Reading classes take place weekly. A monthly drop in Hearing Aid Clinic is also held.Social events include coffee mornings,lunches, garden party & bar-b-que, Hearing dogs for the deaf & Deaf youth club alsomeet.

FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC TO RELIEVE THE SUFFERING OF DOGS IN NEED OF CARE AND ATTENTION AND, IN PARTICULAR, TO PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN RESCUE HOMES OR OTHER FACILITIES FOR THE RECEPTION, CARE AND TREATMENT OF SUCH ANIMALS.

Hastings Cat Lovers (HCL) are based in Hastings & St Leonards On Sea. We take cats & kittens into our care that can no longer be looked after by their owners also stray & abandoned cats.The cats are neutered, vaccinated & microchipped prior to rehoming.We recover deceased cats,usually vicitms of RTAs. We also offer advice on all cat & kitten related problems.

WAGS Retired Police Dog Charity is an independent charity set up to help the retired Police Dogs from Wiltshire, Avon, Gloucestershire and Somerset Police. WAGS provides financial assistance in emergency situations where a large vets bill may mean a decision is made about the dogs future based on cost. We are hoping with WAGS help any decisions are based only on the dogs welfare needs.

T.A.P Assistance Dogs aim is to provide trained assistance dogs to children with ASD. All monied raised is used with the sole intention of procuring suitable puppies and then financing their training and support. The charities aim is to operate throughout the UK.

To provide enjoyment, therapy and learning through the use of horses and ponies to people of all ages with disabilities in the Nantwich and surrounding areas

This company is membership based and actively promotes Horse Sport and recreational activities with emphasis on training our Youth to compete Internationally e.g. Europe and U.S.A. These youth events are held annually. We also make donations to horse related charities e.g. Animal Health Trust.

Horse & Pony Welfare, Assessment & Therapy;Education & training of the public relating to the care & welfare of equines;Promotion of health benefits of contact with equines to relieve stress & illness;Provision of access to the public at large and facilities to promote the above activities.

Two agricultural shows held each year May & August - Weather permitting. Attendance 4,000 plus. May show includes gymkhana, dog show, trade fair plus attractions. August show includes horses, cattle, sheep, dogs, trade fair & attractions. All helping to raise public awareness & interest in local agriculture.No shows held in 2020, 2021 due to Covid 19. No shows 2022 as moved to new showground.

The rescue and rehoming of boxer dogs who have been abused, abandoned or surrendered. The rescue is completely run by volunteers and exists solely on donations from the public. All dogs receive a behavioural assessment and are vet checked, vaccinated, microchipped, flea treated, wormed and we have a spaying and neutering program for all dogs coming through the rescue.

RANA aim to relieve the suffering of dogs and cats across Libya and Tunisia who are in need of care and medical assistance. By sterilising, finding new homes and educating the public on how to take better care of their animals, RANA aim to reduce the number of unwanted strays both on the streets and across shelters in Tunisia and Libya.
