Arts Charities That specialise in Choirs

Preparation, promotion and performance of public choral concerts.

To promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in the appreciation of the art and science of choral music in all its aspects by the presentation of public choral concerts and by such other ways as the members, through the trustees, shall determine from time to time.

The choir has an established reputation for its performances of challenging repertoire spanning five centuries and regards the performance of more unusual repertoire, both renaissance and contemporary, as an important part of its programming.

We support local charities.

The charity supports the provision of excellent music to support the worship in the Parish of Wantage including an annual grant to the Parish to pay for an organist to support the Director of Music and other payments appropriate to support the activies of the choir in furtherance of the objects. The Dickon Peschek Fund offers scholarships to young people.

R.D.C.S is a choral society which encourages a love of singing, membership is open to all and auditions are not needed. The season runs from September until June and two concerts are given each year with music chosen from a wide range of composers. Approximately 80 members sing with the society.

Community Choral Singing

We have weekly rehearsals where through internal and external coaching we educate and develop members singing skills. Members are given the opportunity to demonstrate their skills entertaining the public and in competition at the annual British Barbershop Competition

Bristol Fashion Chorus is an award winning ladies' chorus which strives for musical excellence in 4 part A-Capella singing. We sing primarily in the barbershop style and aim to encourage and develop the style through our chorus, quartets and small group performances. Our mission is to educate, support and enrich the lives of our diverse membership and share the gift of music with our audiences.

Worcester Competitive Arts Festival is a competition which takes place in March every year. There are classes for all age groups in music, singing, speech and drama. Some classes are for solo performers and others for larger groups, such as orchestras and choirs.

We are group in the Lambeth Borough, we offer counselling on day to day living for Mankind. We conduct church services and evangelism classes for interested people. We organise homework clubs and lessons on instruments for kids and teenagers. Singing lessons for young adults. Prayers and prayer groups are also available for all.

Chamber Choir

Presentation of public concerts and recitals, general promotion of choral music.

Choral singing.

We are a community gospel choir affirming God's name and ministering to both members and the wider population through gospel music. We meet on Wednesday evenings (term time). We sing at various events arranged by ourselves or invited by other organisers.

Any member of the public can join the choir and receive training in choral singing and reading music. At the end of each term the choir gives a concert open to the public. Donations made at the concerts are split between chosen charities and local churches. Members of the choir make a termly donation towards the costs of teaching and accompaniment.

Mixed Choir to promote the desire to sing and encourage new singers especially the young supporting them at the start of their musical career and to help the older generation enjoy music. To raise money by performances to aid charities and generallly promote singing

Rock 'n' Soul Singers are a community choir based in Underwood Nottinghamshire. The Choir takes part in concerts and raises money for its nominated charity which is chosen by the choir members each financial year. The Rock 'n' Soul Singers is a mixed choir with around 50 members that sing rock, pop and soul music from the sixties to the present day.

To develop the capacity and skills of members of BME Over 50s of social disadvantage community of Newport and District in such a way that they are better able to identify and help to meet their needs: In Creative Writing, Performing Art, Story-telling, Choir singing, Handcraft, Walking, Swimming, Healthy eating, Exercise, enabling them to participate more fully in society.

The choir rehearses on a weekly basis and is constantly preparing for concerts and events. There is a calendar of events produced on a rolling basis at least one year in advance. Some concerts provide charitable donations.

Brockenhurst Choral Society stages at least two concerts a year, usually at St Saviour's Church in Brockenhurst, rehearsing weekly in the preceding 3 months. Concerts are accompanied by small orchestra or organ and give local people an opportunity to experience live music which might not otherwise be performed in the area. We actively encourage students from music colleges to perform with us.
