Arts Charities That specialise in Choirs

The charity is a local choir, providing social activities for local residents, mostly retired people. We give several concerts per year, much of the income going to local and national charities (eg a local hospice, Marie Curie cancer care etc.). Concerts are also given in local care homes.Recently we have successfully started a young peoples choir which is proving very popular.

A four-part choir of about 35 members, based in Kingsbridge, who perform concerts of mainly classical music in South Devon.

We provide Day-Care facilities for the elderly and weekly activities where they attend the venue to engage in crafts, physical exercise, health awareness programmes and awareness of their personal entitlements in the community.We also provide educational programmes including religious awareness for the young people.We also provide music education to selected individuals. The object of the charity is the promotion of male voice singing in the Cornish tradition.

The LDSSF started over 74 years ago as an annual event bringing local schools together for concert performances. The festival develops annual programmes for KS1 and KS2 pupils. The content of the programmes look at the advancement of education, arts, culture, heritage and mental wellbeing of children, with the benefits of singing and music making. The festival is inclusive - able and disabled.

We are a choir. We sing at weddings and funerals. We give concerts most terms. We sing beautiful music from all over the world. We usually ask for donations after each concert, rather than have a set ticket price, so as to make our concerts accessible to as many people as possible. We ask the audience to gift aid their donations where possible.

The Isle District Choral Society provides a service in a rural area for the continued improvement of a wide variety of both well known and contemporary composers. The society's aim is to encourage an appreciation of the arts through music. Rehearsals are held weekly throughout the school term and well attended concerts are performed for the general public at least three times per year.

The Choir exists to educate the Public in the art and science of choral music and to maintain the strong traditional art of Welsh Male Voice Choral Singing. In execution of this aim the choir provides it's services in fund raising concerts for various charitable organisations throughout the UK and Overseas.

The aim of the society is to promote the development and enjoyment of choral singing in West Cumbria. The society at present has only an adult choir, though young people 15/16 years of age would be welcome.Several concerts are given each year and opportunities are taken to use professional and semi-professional singers and musicians.

Kent Chamber Choir gives a series of concerts during the year, usually in Kent, to support local charities. It also promotes the art of singing by making an annual award to a young singer(s) in memory of a former member of the choir - the Kath Topping Vocal Award.

We are a choir of about 25 female voices. We give three or four concerts each year in and around the Reading area. Our aim is to cover a wide range of musical styles in order to access as diverse an audience as possible. The choir rehearses each week at Charvil village hall.

Working to bring together youth organisations and leaders from churches and schools in Wolverhampton and meeting monthly to plan, network and support them. Running lunchtime groups for vulnerable students, offering drama groups to help youth and children develop singing, dancing and acting skills, running youth ministries and individual and group mentoring. SUPPORT FOR THE CHOIR

Activities provided by South Mountain Chinese Older People's Association include: weekly lunch gathering, bi-weekly health check-up, singing, Mah-Jong (Chinese Dominos) and cards, keep-fit exercise, talks by relevant service providers, welfare rights support by a Chinese worker from Welfare Rights Newcastle, advocacy service, outings and celebrations of major Chinese festivals.
