THE STUDY AND PERFORMANCE OF CHORAL MUSIC IN ORDER TO FOSTER PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE AND APPRECIATION OF SUCH MUSIC BY MEANS OF GIVING CONCERTS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES

The activities of the Launceston Choral Society are as follows:1. Rehearse selected classical choral works and sing them at concert to a paying audience, usually at the Central Methodist Church Launceston.2. Three works are performed annually, plus a Christmas Concert also with a paying audience.

The awarding of bursaries for the purpose of continuing the provision of a choral education for a chorister or choristers of Canterbury Cathedral who in the opinion of the trustees would continue to benefit from such an education but whose parents having commenced their full financial commitment to paying fees were by reason of financial necessity unable to continue to provide the necessary fees.

Performance of choral music at private functions, weddings and other concerts as required.Raising funds for local charities.

The charity's activity is to promote,improve,develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and science of music, in particular choir singing, by the presentation of public concerts and recitals.

Use of the income to provide a scholarship or bursary at the Kings School Canterbury for a boy or boys who have sung in the Cathedral Choir or if there are no such boys eligible from the Cathedral Choir then in the discretion and to be awarded by the Dean of Canterbury and the Headmaster of the Kings School and otherwise as more particularly shown in the declaration dated 1 July 1977.

Portsmouth and District Barbershop Harmony Club performs for the public as an unaccompanied (a Cappella) choir singing a wide range of songs in four-part harmony primarily in the Barbershop style. Through our performances we aim to broaden knowledge and experience of the genres of music we sing and, at the same time, providing entertainment to our audiences.

To advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and science of choral music by the presentation of public concerts and recitals and by such other ways as the committee shall determine.

OCO is dedicated to making contemporary opera in English accessible to the public. Our aims are to perform the work of new and established living composers, to promote the talents of young professionals both in singing roles and also in directorial and craft positions, and to include the community in productions onstage and behind the scenes especially working with schools and young people.

The object of the Choir is to further the cause of Choral Music for the Male voice by its study and practice and by its public performance in order to foster public appreciation of such music and for the public benefit. The choir performs public concerts at least six times per annum in the South Cumbria area and also occasionally in other parts of England and Wales.

We are a male voice choir who sing in the barbershop style.We have weekly rehearsals on a Monday evening in Kingsdown Church, London W13.We perform at 6-12 events per year. This is a mixture of ticketed and free-to-attend events.We have an open rehearsal policy, and run a Learn to Sing course about once per year. There is an audition process to join the chorus.

A. To further such other charitable purpose purposes as the choir in its absolute discretion shall think fit, but in particular through making grants and donations.

The study and practice of choral music in order to foster public knowledge and appreciation of such music by means public performances within Grassington, Yorkshire and the surrounding area.

Our Charity is raising awareness of the benefits of singing gospel music and inspirational songs by encouraging participation across the whole of the UK. We encourage aspiration through involvement in gospel music, regardless of age, culture, faith or gender. We want to share the love of gospel music and its message.We want to bring people and communities together through workshops, concerts etc

We perform operas, operettas and other musical events to local audiences in community venues in Merseyside and around. These are normally sung in English and by amateur singers. We also arrange master classes and other educational events to help our performing members, and the general public, develop their musical and dramatic skills and their understanding and appreciation of musical drama.

The objects of the choir shall be to promote, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and science of music in all its aspects, and in particular the works of J.S. Bach, by the presentation of public choral and instrumental concerts, and for the purposes of such charitable bodies or for such other purposes as shall be exclusively charitable as the committee may decide.

Learning and public performance of choral works to the benefit of any worthy cause and for the enjoyment of members.

Morning Tide WI meets monthly at Lee on Solent Methodist Church Hall as part of Hampshire & National WI providing a meeting point for women members of all ages. 10 monthly speakers are invited to talk on educational subjects or activities. We also have groups meeting elsewhere, i.e. choir; A Capella singing; ukulele; knitting, crochet & reading. We raise funds for nominated local charities.

Suffolk Singers is a mixed SATB choir of approximately 34 members operating in Suffolk in the United Kingdom. The choir provides its members with the opportunity to sing choral music to a high standard and to educate and provide pleasure to the public through the provision of public recitals and concerts both within Suffolk and beyond.

The Society runs a community-based choir, operating in the areas of Skipton, Craven and Bradford.
