Poynton Players produce 4 to 5 plays each year, to an audience mainly drawn from the surrounding community. Over the last year, we have encouraged local drama, dance and singing groups, particularly youth organisations to take advantage of our facilities and are increasing our activities as as a community asset.

We provide and maintain a property in the centre of Thurnby. It consists of a large hall with stage, a smaller hall, an upstairs dance studio and a cafe and commercial kitchen, for the hire and use by the community of Thurnby & Bushby and environs.

To use the performing arts to empower children and young people to build up self confidence and self esteem by participating in public performances. An inclusive project, both for children who are able bodied and for children with learning difficulties and with minor to severe physical and learning disabilities where they learn to work in partnership and without discrimination.

Drayton Grange Community Association is the business name for the management committee that manages Nene Hall.The aim of DGCA is to provide premises at a hire rate that is affordable and attractive to all users, while maintaining and improving the facilty. The Community Centre is the hub of the village, inasmuch as it provides for use of the community, a full size soccer pitch used by two local clubs, A children's play area comprising swings, slides and roundabouts, an area given over to youth sports. The Community Centre holds regular indoor activities which include toddlers and children's playgroups, dance classes, badminton, and bowls etc.

Rode Heath Village Hall provides a venue for various events to be enjoyed by local people of all ages. Folk, Line and Zumba dancing, Table Tennis, Indoor Bowling, Bingo, Lace Making, Old Folks Effort and Over 60s meet on a regular basis. The Hall is also available for hire to private individuals for parties, receptions and other events.

Responsible for maintenance and running village hall to provide facilities for social activities in the village of Renhold. These include WI, Line dancing, Keep fit, Carpet bowls, Parish Council meetings, Weddings, Anniversaries and Childrens parties.

Enables amateur performers in the Arts of Dance, Music, Speech and Drama, to compete before an audience, with verbal and written feedback from professional adjudicators.

We organise various fundraising events, rent out halls for dance classes, badminton, keep fit, art. Organise childrens parties, make donations to all local childrens clubs and old folk charities.and local schools.

ABCA has active Tennis and Bowls sections, and there are also specific user groups, i.e. Scottish Dancing, WI, Snooker / Billiards, and TaeKwondo, Ukele band. The funds raised from letting cover most of the maintenance needs of the Parish Rooms. The Bowls and Tennis groups are self sufficient through their membership.
