Raise and invest funds and to apply the income thereof and such part of the capital as the trustees may decide for the following purposes: a)The Benesh Institute, b) promoting the use of Benesh Movement Notation in all its forms, c) the advancement of public education and learning by supporting, promoting and furthering the art of ballet.

Operates and maintains the community centre building and grounds enabling playgroup for infants and children, dance classes, sport and recreation clubs for special interest groups and a club for the elderly. Used for childrens parties, local elections.

We welcome children & young people, the elderly, people with disabilities, and everyone in our local community and around. We provide a venue for celebrations, exercise, for groups to meet, and a place to relax and enjoy the company of others. Our hall offers facilities for preparing and cooking food, a bar area, a stage for public performance, and a space for dance.

The Gatty Hall functions as the centre of village life for the community of Ecclesfield and the surrounding area. At the present time Asheldham & Dengie parish room have finished presenting a pantomime (old mother hubbard) involving all age ranges from the Dengie Peninsular. Dance classes, dog training classes and a childrens nursery hire the hall on a regular basis.Any profits from the pantomime are allocated to other local charities. Funds from classes go toward the upkeep of the hall.

Staging competitive classes in stage dancing where entrants compete before an approved British federation adjudicator for an appraisal of their performance.

A Rural Youth movement for young people aged between 10 and 26 Years. YFC gives members the opportunity to gain skills and confidence in areas like, public speaking, sports, culture (dancing, drama, entertainments & pantomime) stockjudging and social events and meetings. YFC is member led with skills such as chairmanship, secretarial, treasurer, programme planning & leadership taught.

THE SOCIETY'S PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES ARE THE STAGING OF PUBLIC RECITALS, DANCE SHOWS AND WORKSHOPS FOR SCHOOLS

Annual Festival of classical dance

We run regular fund raising events for the whole community and rent on a weekly basis to theOver 60's for whist dominoes, coffee and a chat; Irish dancing classes, Art classes and term time only mornings pre school nursery. On a regular basis the village drama group meet to rehearse and stage regular productions and a friendship group meets for talks and demonstrations.

Arrangement of cultural activities - visits to shows (musicals, drama, opera, ballet, etc) or outings to places of interest. Functions may be arranged such as a jazz night, a topical quiz, book sale, etc. A monthly magazine circulated to all members and contains details of our shows & events & diary note of all other local functions notified to us by any other local 'not for profit' groups.

Village Hall available to hire - used mainly by regular groups - This includes:- Young @ Heart Group, Badminton , Short Mat Bowls, Rackheath Players, Band Practice, Line Dancing, Dog Agility, Home Educators and Bird Auction - also available for private hire.

The Charity was established to allow the people of Roffey, to use the institute. Users are Play Group,Brownies,Indoor Bowls,Badmington,Dance School,Judo and Sunday worship.

Donnington Hall is owned by the village of Dunton Green and is hired out to bona fide organisations which provide a variety of activities for the local community. Regular activities include badminton, drama academy, karate, pre-school, sequence dancing and table tennis. Subject to availability, terms and conditions, individuals can book the Hall on an ad hoc basis for private functions.
