Cymdeithas Alawon Gwerin Cymru collects and publishes Welsh folk-songs and undertakes research on the Welsh folk tradition. It publishes an annual journal, Canu Gwerin, collections of folk-songs and folk-song arrangements, and other works relating to the Welsh folk tradition.

The Palmerston Forts Society acts as a forum for research on the Victorian Fortifications of the Portsmouth area and the U.K. A journal is published each year. The charity (a) supports the provision of religious education in the ecclesiastical parishes of Allesley, Allesley Park and Eastern Green, Coventry, (b) provides book grants for persons under 25 years who live, or whose parents live, in any of the three parishes and (c) contributes to a reserve fund for St Johns C of E Infant and Junior Primary School, Allerley Park.
