The activities of The United Church of St Mark are wide ranging, include providing a place for Christian worship and prayer. Providing activities for children and families of the local community including Messy Church, Messy Munchkins, Fun and Faith, Children's Church. PROVISION OF BOOKS, TRACTS PAMPHLETS AND LIKE LITERATURE DESIGNED TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION

Operating in Wandsworth, London, we want all children aged 0 to 11 years to have frequent, positive reading experiences. We train teams of volunteers to give one-to-one support in primary schools. We run early literacy classes for parents and toddlers. We encourage and equip parents to support their children's reading at home.

We are holding classes for adults to read and write Arabic correctly for sisters? and Men. We have a library where people can come and get books as well as listen to Islamic bayan.We are currently distributing leaflets and booklets to Non- Muslims in the area, as well as distributing Islamic literature door to door. We have lectures and talks from well known scholars and Imams; local and overseas.

TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN FAITH IN LONDON FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THROUGH THE HOLDING OF PRAYER MEETINGS, LECTURES AND TEACHINGS, CELEBRATIONS AND CONFERENCES DURING EASTER AND CHRISTMAS PERIODS, PRODUCING AND DISTRIBUTING LITERATURE ON THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION.

Holding activities for the local community, dances,quizes,the WI, talks, film shows etc and the hall is used a number of evenings for badminton. The hall is also hired for private functions i.e. birthday parties, weddings, cubs etc. We fund raise to keep the hall in good state of repair by doing jumble sales, race nights, dances etc.

The Latin Programme - Via Facilis improves English literacy in state primary schools through the study of Latin and English grammar. Classes taught range from years 3 to 6. The work done in class and the lesson plans are tailored to meet the needs of both the school and the pupils, with a focus on mixed abilities and different learning strategies.

The Trust considers all worthwhile causes but Grants are more likely to be given for projects which fall within artistic, literacy, literary, musical and theatrical criteria.
