The Wirral Society is a non-political environmental watchdog, whose object is to protect, preserve and encourage awareness of the Wirral Peninsula's environment. It acts through dialogue and written comments on planning applications and other proposals for change, through supporting other groups' initiatives, and through talks and occasional publications.

The Laban Guild is a charitable organisation founded in 1946 to promote and advance the study of Laban-based movement and dance. The Haywood Society arranges monthly talks for members with two visits a year to places of local interest. It supports suitable local activities with start up grants. It has published three local history book, no4 in 2014. It tries to study all local planning applications. It assisted in discussions of local interest and the production of "The Village Building Guidelines".

To relieve the blind or the partially sighted, or those labouring under some temporary or permanent incapacity or disability which makes reading a strain, by the provision of recorded tapes or other appropriate amenities. Recording on cassette tapes a selection of news items from the local newspapers each week. Distribute copies of recording to members of the blind and partially sighted community.

Educational grants are given to students at school, college and university to assist with course books and equipment who are resident in the villages of Chew Magna, Stanton Drew, Stanton Prior, Stowey Sutton and Newton St Loe. Small donations are given to those who are both elderly and in need at Christmas time.

The Friends of Smithy Bridge School Association organise fundraising and social activities to benefit the children of Smithy Bridge Primary School. Egs of activities: Quiz Night, Xmas fair, Oompah night, Summer Fair, Magic show, mothers and fathers day gifts. Egs of items purchased in 2015/16 guided reading books, christmas parties and gifts,school extension fund, contributuon to year 6 PGL.

The Trust advances the Wilton Park purpose through educational activities, such as funding participants identified by Wilton Park, the FCDO policy forum.
