Arts Charities That specialise in Music

Waltham Singers is a mixed-voice adult choir of around 90 singers based in Chelmsford and attracts members from a wide area. It has a reputation for high standards of performance across a wide range of classical music extending from the Renaissance to contemporary. The choir presents around four concerts each year at venues including Chelmsford Cathedral, Great Waltham Church and Saffron Hall.

We are local musical theatre group performing two productions a year.

Collaborating with other music societies in arranging concerts and musical educational activities.

To educate the public in Sale and Altrincham. in South West Manchester. in the musical and dramatic arts and to further the development of public appreciation and taste in the said arts through the presentation of public performances.

The Cheryl King Trust promotes and advances the musical education of children and young people in particular, but not exclusively, by the provision of grants and funding to enable the beneficiaries to start or continue with individual or group musical instrument lessons.

London City Singers sing a cappella in the barbershop style.It aims to advance, improve and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and science of barbershop and a capella singing in all its aspects through the performance of its music. It is open to people of all marginalised genders who sing in the treble range. It is a member of LABBS.

Supporting the funding for classical music tuition of underprivileged children at Gallions Primary School, London E6 and in the surrounding area

Procuring, sponsoring or assisting the performance of musical works of the highest quality in the UK by orchestras that are members of the Association of British Orchestras; encouraging improvements in standards of performance by British orchestras; promoting the development of musical appreciation by the general public.

The Isle of Wight Cantata Choir hold two concerts per year with a full orchestra and professional soloists. We are a choir of some 120 members.With effect from 2022 the choir is establishing a Bursary Scheme to assist young musicians on the Isle of Wight with their musical studies. This will be a biannual event. A legacy of £20000 received in 2021 makes this possible.

Helping our local youth to develop their talents (potentials) in the area of singing, dancing, playing different types of musical instruments. Also, we are involved in street pastoring, to cut or eradicate crime in our area (community).

The Galpin Society was founded in 1946 to promote the study of musical instruments.

Birkenhead Choral Society seeks to be a friendly choir, offering a high standard of music for our own and our audience's enjoyment. We normally perform four concerts each year and involve local school children in our carol concert. Every few years we join up with Formby Choral Society and with boys from Merchant Taylor's School to sing a major choral work at the Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool.

The Folkestone & Hythe Orchestral Society rehearses and performs classical concerts in the South East area of the UK.

Fosters the arts and science of double reed musical instruments - most particularly the oboe and the bassoon. It assists in running workshops/courses and holds an annual event with international artists. It provides a thrice-yearly magazine for members and offers discounts with some traders in the field.

Llanfair Caereinion Public Hall & Institute is a community resource for the whole town and surrounding villages. Activities inc. library, polling booth (elections), WI, Merched y Wawr, Celf Able arts group, Homely Club, indoor bowls, Young Farmers, dance, drama, recording studio, local history group, concerts, Llanfair carnival, Christmas lights, wedding receptions, funeral teas, parties, etc.
