Arts Charities That specialise in Music

To educate the public in the dramatic and operatic arts, and to further the development of public appreciation and taste in the said arts.

Promotion of events - particularly Street Arts and site specific projects including drama, music, dance, circus, visual arts in contexts which further public appreciation of and participation in the arts. The Charity aims to raise funds for it's own use or for the benefit of other groups who have the same or similar goals.

Presentation of public concerts to the local community.

We present, each year, a series of chamber music concerts given by artists of international reputation.

PROVIDING A MEETING PLACE ON MONDAYS & WEDNESDAYS, FOR THE PHYSICALLY DISABLED & THOSE WITH LEARNING DIFFICULTIES. A TWO COURSE, HOT LUNCH IS PROVIDED ON NEARLY EVERY MEETING DAY. THE CLUB AIMS TO DEVELOP MANUAL, SOCIAL & LITERACY SKILLS. OUTINGS AND A VARIETY OF ACTIVITIES ARE UNDERTAKEN INCLUDING LEARNING CURVE, DRAMA, COOKERY, GAMES AND MOVEMENT TO MUSIC.

Weston Brass is a local community brass band. It provides live music to the general public. This music consists of both original brass band music and arrangements of other styles and genres of music. We include music of a high calibre and artistic merit including music by famous and contemporary composers that would otherwise not be heard by the general public.

We produce, one musical show in May and one Play in November. We may occasionally put on another short show or review. We have other social events throughout the year for members and friends to raise funds.

To promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and science of choral music in all its aspects, including by the presentation of public performances; and for the general purposes of such charitable bodies or for such other purposes as shall be exclusively charitable as the Committee may from time to time decide.

We provide entertainments for the general public in the Arts, predominantly in the form of stage drama but with occasional musical presentations. The proceeds from selected performances are donated to local charities. We additionally involve youth members who form a distinct Section of our organisation.

Provide amateur theatre entertainment to wider community and perform at charitable events.

Community choir promoting the enjoyment of singing within the choir and beyond to audiences at our concerts

We provide and promote high quality musical activities and tuition for children and adults who have additional needs. We run CPD courses for staff, and participatory music days and concerts for children/adults with LD. We value music as communication education and for pleasure. We recognise the unique contribution that music plays in peoples lives especially those who have added difficulties.

Provides financial and medical assistance to our members

To advance the education of the public in, and promote the performance of the music of, Arthur Sullivan (1842-1900) and other contemporaneous British composers by means of performances, recordings, publications, lectures and other means.

York Opera stages two major productions each year and a number of small concerts and workshops mainly in York but also covering North and East Yorkshire in schools,churches, village halls etc.

Talent Unlimited helps to advance the musical education of emerging musicians aged 18 plus, in particular but not exclusively, those of Turkish origin through the provision of grants.

Wallingford Chameleon Arts provide a platform for talented musicians to perform in a series of high quality concerts, giving the population the opportunity to hear live music, including some less well known and recently composed works, played at an excellent standard by musicians who are often young. This gives a service to musicians and the public who may not otherwise have the opportunity.

The Cheltenham Symphony Orchestra Charity has as its main object the advancement of the art ofsymphonic music making for the public benefit in particular by bringing this music and the art formto audiences in Cheltenham and to towns and villages within Gloucestershire and bordering countiesand beyond.

We run weekly sessions where those who attend participate in the playing of a wide variety of music genre and styles. In every 3 hour session session there are at least 3 new pieces of music. The Redbridge Music Lounge Players give musical performances in community locations and also perform at local music festivals.

The promotion and enjoyment of choral singing and music.

Todmorden Orchestra promotes and performs music of an educational and enjoyable nature.

The orchestra gives concerts in and around the Sidcup area for the benefit of the local community.Through regular rehearsals the playing standards of members of the orchestra are improved and refined.

Advancement of Christian Faith: preaching and proclamation of the Gospel and teaching of Christian doctrine and principles. Printing and distributing of the Bible and other Christian literature, also utilizing video, audio, electronic or other media where available. Pastoral care of Christian people. The relief of persons who are in conditions of need, hardship, or distress, aged or sick.

Ipswich Gilbert & Sullivan Society is a musical group which performs charity fund-raising concerts during the summer months across Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex, with a mixed repertoire ranging from classical music and excerpts from G&S operettas to folk, pop and songs from the musicals. In the autumn of each year the Society puts on a fully staged production of one of the G & S operettas.

We organise regular events including craft, music, table games, seated sports, meals, trips and holidays. Our members are people with personal experience of dementia, as patients, unpaid carers, or health and social care professionals. Carers are welcome to remain in the group after the person they supported dies or moves into residential care.
