Arts Charities That specialise in Music

To advance the education of the public in the musical and operatic arts. To further the development of the public appreciation and taste in said arts. To promote operetta & musicals in furtherance of the arts.

The choir has a professional musical director and accompanists who receive an honorarium. The choir rehearses once a week (Sunday evenings) and sings at concerts in the Chester, Wirral and North Wales areas to raise funds for various charities.

TO PRESENT, PROMOTE AND ORGANISE MUSICAL AND VISUAL ARTS AT AN ANNUAL FESTIVAL.

Vocal Expressions is a ladies choir, based in the Holme Valley, West Yorkshire. It meets its objectives through public concerts, singing at other charities' events, & at weddings. The choir's varied repertoire includes traditional & folk songs; classical and religious music and songs from musical shows.

The main activity of the Hook Norton Brass Band is to maintain, improve and advance the education of the public through the promotion of the practice and performance of brass band music.The band has also started a training brass band, in order to provide a playing opportunity for individuals of all ages who are not yet at a standard to play in the main band.

SINGING AND PERFORMING CHORAL CONCERTS IN THE COMMUNITY.

To advance and promote public education in and the appreciation of music by the presentation of public concerts and recitals in conjunction with the Royal Tunbridge Wells Symphony Orchestra and smaller groups of the playing members of the orchestra.

Provision of a series of concerts and recitals of classical and modern musical works (usually max. 6) in each season, October - June, at local Church premises in the Henleaze district of Bristol, including giving particular prominence to gifted local young musicians, and presenting pre-concert talks by eminent musicians and academics on the contents of each concert's programme.

A NON-POLITICAL, NON-SECTARIAN CHOIR WHO SEEK TO INTEREST THE PUBLIC IN THE ART OF SINGING BY PARTICIPATING AND ASSISTING IN CONCERTS AND SIMILAR ACTIVITIES. THROUGH THESE ACTIVITIES THE CHOIR IS ALSO ABLE, ON OCCASIONS, TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT TO A NUMBER OF LOCAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL CHARITABLE ORGANISATIONS.

Performs 4 concerts per year in the Luton/Dunstable area for the benefit of local people. We are an organisation that promotes choral singing and trains local people to perform at concert standard.

To foster and promote public knowledge and appreciation of choral music by means of public performance. To advance the musical education of young people through choral work and providing them with opportunities to perform.

London Kalibari organises for all, but mainly for the members of the Indian Bengalee community, activities such as Senior Citizens' Luncheon Club, Women/Widows' Group, Yoga Classes, Music and Dance Classes, regular worship of Goddess Kali and other Hindu deities and the annual Diwali/Kalipuja on a larger scale. It also organises discussion and singing, based on religious and philosophical texts.

The Oleg Prokofiev Trust is a grant giving charity set up in memory of Oleg Prokofiev, son of the composer Sergei Prokofiev. Its funds are directed primarily for the purpose of helping support music performance projects and the advancement of the arts and education in music worldwide for the public benefit, in particular in relation to the work of Sergei Prokofiev.

George's Trust was formed with youth very much in mind. George was a special young man and his two main loves were music and sport . The Trust supports the Teenage Cancer Ward and Research in Southampton University Hospital. Provides small grants to youth projects and the Romsey Abbey Choir in the Romsey & Winchester area.

Education projects to promote the understanding of baroque and classical music performance in historically aware presentations.

To further the study, practice and enjoyment of brass band music in all its forms in order to advance the education and appreciation of the public in the art of brass band music through public performance, training and education in the county of Northumberland and the surrounding area.
