The London Handel Society organises the annual London Handel Festival. The charity's remit is to present high quality performances of Handel and his contemporaries, and to support and encourage young artists through the Handel Singing Competition. To advance the public's appreciation of the art of folk music by- providing folk music acts with the opportunity to be able to perform at concerts, festivals and other events- increasing public access and exposure to folk music through developing, promoting and encouraging its practice.The term 'folk music' includes both contemporary and traditional forms.
