Arts Charities That specialise in Music

To present and perform the works of Sir W S Gilbert and Sir A S Sullivan via one main staged production each year and via a series of concerts to local audiences in Sheffield and the locality.

Our object is: "To relieve the needs of young people from Suffolk who have needs by reason of youth; in particular, but not exclusively, by the provision of grants to access or participate in art in its widest form, including music."

Provision of arts, primarily choral concerts

The Charity holds regular fundraising events for research into the diagnosis and treatment of Giant Cell Myocarditis, as well as for Sports and Music Development Grants of sums up to £500 to schools and community groups for children aged 5 to 11.Events to date have included Football Tournaments, Race Nights, live Music, including Ukulele, concerts, Quizzes and Sponsored walks.

To advance, improve and maintain the education of the public in the arts, particularly the arts of drama, music, dance and film and to support the provision of improved facilities at Pocklington Arts Centre by fund raising, volunteering and enabling public to make use of the centre (particularly young people).

Musical & operatic performances

The Weybridge Women's Institute (WI) educates women for the public benefit in all areas including:1. local, national and international issues of political and social importance; 2. music, drama and other cultural subjects; and 3. all branches of agriculture, crafts, home economics, science, health and social welfare; Meetings are 3rd Thursday of month.

A choir of about 60 amateur singers, trained and conducted by a professional musician who is the musical director. Weekly rehearsals, 4 concerts a year in different venues, using professional soloists & sometimes linking with other local choirs and orchestra. Provides the opportunity for singers to train & perform to a high standard & for local audiences to hear a wide variety of Choral music.

To promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in the appreciation of the art and science of orchestral music in all its aspects by the presentation of public concerts and recitals,

Promotion of concerts by professional musicians for residents of Weston and the surrounding area.

The charity supports and promotes the performance of live music of all sorts in all sorts of places and by all sorts of people, professional and amateur alike. One of its key activities is organising small scale concerts by professional musicians in local primary schools, at no cost to the schools. It organises a local music festival and a series of approximately monthly concerts.

To promote, develop and maintain public education in appreciation of the art of music, particularly brass band music in and around Newark and Nottinghamshire and the UK. To provide musical education to band members and members of the training band. Present public performances and take part in civil events.

To promote and sponsor the live performance of the music of Gustav Holst, together with the recording of his music hitherto unrecorded, by way of financial grants, the loan of musical scores and communications with professional and amateur musicians. The charity operates from the UK, but does make grants to overseas organisations.

The charity runs a competitive performing arts festival covering speech, drama, singing and instrumental music.

Bradwell Silver Band has operated in Milton Keynes since 1901, offering brass band tuition and performances for the community. The band supports individuals new to brass banding, and established musicians through individual tuition and group rehearsals, as well as performing at a range of community events.

We provide an array of educational activities for children: sensory, English, Maths, Science, Drama, History, Music, Art, Engineering, Creative writing and workshops. Most of our activities take place in a hall in a rural village in Sussex.

We are a Community Service Organisation dedicated to providing assistance to the vulnerable in our local community and abroad. Our activities include: Musical evenings, Race nights, Specialised Equipment, Senior Citizens' Party, Day trips for vulnerable children and adults. Our overseas support includes Sightsavers, WaterAid and emergency disaster aid. All members are volunteers.

In support of :musicians, composers, concerts and chamber music performances of contemporary music of the 20th and 21st centuries; visual arts, painters, draughtsmen and especially painters and draughtsmen of the 20th and sculptors of the 20th and 21st centuries;the study and application of philosophy and theology, both in the academic areas as in business and industrial areas.

Presentation of musical and dramatic entertainment to the general public.

Thanet Chamber Choir, in the socially deprived area of Thanet, performs four concerts a year of music from the Renaissance to the present day, one exclusively for charity. Rehearsals are once a week during school terms. Quiz nights are organised once or twice a year. Choir members of all ages come from Thanet or the nearer parts of Kent. The choir aims at musical excellence.

The choir exists to promote public understanding and appreciation of the arts of music through wider participation, especially by less trained or confident members of the public. We hold regular rehearsals and perform at events around the Manchester area and occasionally beyond. We are open to all regardless of musical ability.

The Seaford Downs Syndrome and Special Needs Support Group is a registered charity that is led by a constitution and aims to provide enrichment to the lives of children with special needs and their families. We provide regular activities for the children such as swimming and music classes run by fully trained individuals with experience of working with children with special needs.
