The Choir's mission is to practice and perform choral and orchestral works of educational and artistic merit.

The Charity runs 2 orchestras for promising musicians in the West Kent/ Surrey border area. The Training orchestra is open to players of ages 8 - 13 and gives concerts during the Autumn Spring and Summer terms. The Friends of Tees Valley Youth Orchestra advance the education of the public by supporting and assisting the activities of the Tees Valley Youth Orchestra, a youth orchestra forming part of the Tees Valley Music Service.

The organisation encourages people to play a musical instrument and to be part of an orchestra/wind band. Membership is open to all with no restriction on age or ability and instruments are available to loan to members.Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings during term time at Holker Business Centre, Colne from 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm and public performances take place throughout the area.
