St Mary's is a Church of England parish in the centre of Todmorden. As well as worship, Bible Study, funerals, weddings, baptisms and other services we run a drop in cafe on Thursdays, work with the local foodbank, host musical events, offer pastoral visiting and support and work in partnership with the wider community on environmental, social and interfaith activities.

Doncaster Little Theatre offers various forms of entertainment including, plays, shows and films for the local community. Each year one production is taken on tour to the more deprived areas of Doncaster. Provides a place of worship for an Orthodox Christian parish. Cares for and raises funds to repair an ecclesiastical building of architectural merit. Rents out the church hall for use by local organisations. Provides a venue for the performance of classical music. Helps to integrate Orthodox Christians from abroad into British society.

The Reading Chinese School was established in 1978. The school's aim is to provide education in both Chinese language and culture for children and adults of all ages and backgrounds. The school offer the Chinese classes for children of 3 years old to adults on Sundays during the school term time. The school also have extra-curriculum classes such as public speech, drama and recital and dances

MIDSUMMER MUSIC AIMS TO PROMOTE PUBLIC EDUCATION IN AND APPRECIATION OF THE ART OF MUSIC. THE MAIN ACTIVITY IS THE PRODUCTION OF AN ANNUAL CHAMBER MUSIC FESTIVAL OF THE HIGHEST QUALITY FEATURING ARTISTS OF INTERNATIONAL STATURE. A MINIMUM OF FIVE CONCERTS ARE GIVEN OVER A THREE DAY PERIOD IN THE SUMMER.
