Music/Arts Education

We hire rooms at the centre, and also run table tennis, art and photographic clubs plus folks alone organisations and the Llandudno Music Theatre group for children from 7 to 17 for music and drama.

Manage and maintain the Marlow Bottom Playing fields and Play area. Raise Funds to do so and to enhance the play area. Main fund raising activity is an outdoor music concert in September and a fireworks display in November.

The charity provides a focal point for the community of Morvah and surrounding district. It provides educational and leisure workshops for all ages. We provide concerts, poetry, talks and films. We have strong links to the art and crafts and provide a showcase in the gallery and coffee shop to emerging artists. The schoolhouse is the polling station for Morvah at election times.

The society's activities are to educate the public in the art and science of choral music in the presentation of concerts and other activities and in furtherance thereof to encourage and support other musical activities in the local area.

BALPA (Bristol Academy of Live Performing Arts) for ages 2 - 18 year olds in singing, dancing, musical theatre and instruments. We run a bursary scheme for this to ensure it is accessible to all community members within this age range. Community activities such as involvement in the carnival and Christmas lights switch on. We are now running adult classes as well.

Provide a nutritious lunch four days a week and offer other such support to the members of the local retired community. Provide transport where required.Services provided include hairdressing, chiropody, fitness and seated yoga sessions as well as health initiatives such as annual influenza vaccinations. Visiting theatre companies and entertainers areoften additions to the schedule.

Organises, publicises, and delivers an annual classical music festival and other concerts.Provides performance opportunities for postgraduate music students from London conservatoires, other music students and young professional musicians.Supports a Music in Education (Strings Scheme) in Guildford-area primary schools.

Choral singing; education in choral singing/vocal training; public performances

We help women from ethnic minorities, particularly those who speak English as a second language. We provide community, support and opportunities through:1) English teaching: free, women-only classes with creche.2) Well-being activities: drama, Zumba, craft, gardening, parties.3) Resources: clothing, baby, kitchen items etc, also food delivery.4) A wide range of one-to-one support.
