Arts Charities That specialise in Performing art

ACS presents 3-4 concerts a year at prestigious Manchester venues and local churches. Our members are amateur singers who have the opportunity to perform choral works across a wide repertoire with professional orchestras and soloists. We also hold introductory singing events for the general public. We provide enjoyable, musical learning experiences for members, audience, and the public.

The objects of the Rachel Podger Foundation are to advance the education, appreciation, and knowledge of the public in the art of classical music, through the promotion of classical music and live performance in general ,and principally, but not exclusively, music of the Baroque era, for the public benefit in the UK and other countries around the world.

To advance the arts in East London and surrounding areas and other areas the trustees deem fit, in particular the dramatic and performing arts, by producing and staging performances of the works of William Shakespeare.To advance public education and appreciation of the dramatic and performing arts, including stage performance and production, by providing apprenticeship and training schemes

Lightbox aims to discover and present stories that are untold or overlooked. Over the last five years we have produced revivals of overlooked tales or devised shows from real 'untold' stories discovered during community outreach projects and workshops, demonstrating our commitment to creating inspiring, high quality and pertinent theatre that creates a sense of connection and alleviates isolation.

Community choir performing major choral works to a high standard and running singing workshops. Membership of approx 90 singers is drawn from a wide geographical area covering Essex, Hertfordshire, Suffolk, and Cambridgeshire. Main concert venues are Saffron Hall and St Mary's Church, Saffron Walden. The choir has close links with local schools, regularly sharing concerts.

The Charity runs a community centre known as The Westenders Hall. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, this year no productions were made and as a result no income was raised, with the exception of room hire. The money outstanding from the 2020 pantomime was paid in June 2020.

Teaching Scottish Country Dancing to adults and children through weekly classes;organising Day Schools and Weekend Schools to further this aim. Encouraging social contact, fun and fitness through dance with regular social dances with live music, and an annual outdoor Scottish Country Dance festival, the White Rose Festival.

The charity operates principally in and around the Thornton area of Sefton in a variety of ways to help advance the Christian faith and to help people in need. Weekly activities includes: children's work, youth work, lunch clubs and drop-in for the elderly and disadvantaged, community choir and church services. The charity works closely with local schools, local churches and other agencies.

To promote the appreciation, enjoyment, participation and understanding of music and the arts for the public benefit, through the provision of musical events and educational activities, particularly but not exclusively in central Devon as part of an annual Arts Festival and at other times of the year

Define and demonstrate a role for the arts in maintaining positive mental healthby delivering high quality arts opportunities to the people of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough and support the creation of self-sustaining initiatives, particularly user led cultural initiatives.Eg.Arts on Prescription,Choral singing, ward based activities, curating gallery space, radio production, mobile studio.

Weekly webcasts & lectures on Sufism, Koran classes & book reading, Tamarkoz (Meditation) classes, translation classes, Farsi classes, ceremonies & other events, interfaith activities, musical performances, arts and crafts and tuition on traditional Iranian instruments

Issue based education for young people / general public (Drugs, Alcohol, Antisocial behaviour, Bullying, Equality & Diversity, Domestic Violence etc.) through workshops and drama.Support, training and signposting for those recovering from addiction to drugs and alcohol increasing self esteem, confidence and skills.

The object of the Society shall be to promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of choral and instrumental music in all its aspects by the presentation of public concerts; and for the general purposes of such charitable bodies or for such purposes as shall be exclusively charitable as the Committee may from time to time decide

The objects of the Society are to promote, maintain, improve and advance education by the encouragement of the arts including the arts of drama, mime, dance, singing and music and to provide facilities for practical participation in the production and performance of stage plays and other activities of a similar kind.

TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC IN THE DRAMATIC AND OPERATIC ARTS AND TO DEVELOP THE PUBLIC APPRECIATION AND TASTE IN THE SAID ARTS TO FURTHER SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES UNDER THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE GUIDANCE ON PUBLIC BENEFIT .THE MAIN ACTIVITIES COMPRISE THE PERFORMANCE OF TWO SHOWS EACH YEAR - CONCERT FORMAT AND FULL MUSICAL.

Wortwell Community Centre is a building for the use of the local inhabitants for recreation and leisure time occupations. Currently activities include : Dance Classes, Bowls, Charity Events, Quiz nights, private hirings, Village Fete, carpet bowls, badminton, art classes, french classes, keep fit, football, yoga, theatre productions and much more

The Charity supports the education and training of pupils at the school by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for the students, in addition to the statutory requirement. Examples of this are the provision of music facilities, sporting entries and fixture costs, intercultural events, student planners, memberships and subscriptions, and classroom books and equipment.

Provides sport and recreation facilities for all ages/genders/abilities in the community and surrounding areas. Sporting facilities as well as buildings are made available as well as making grants available to organisations. Sports are football, cricket, bowls, squash, tennis, table tennis, Indoor facilities for elderly e.g. chair aerobics and for young people e.g. dance. Large play park.

We produce a major musical show and a major pantomime in a 300-seat theatre in Urmston each year. We produce a junior musical show in a local school studio in Urmston each year.

Currently we are working on retaining community services for health and wellbeing and community engagement to access borough-wide services in the local area. We provide access to a range of activities including martial arts class, Sunday church group, choir practice session, a foodbank servjce, healthy eating and dietary group, badminton sport club, over 55's social club and digital discovery I.T

Emmanuel has a responsibility for all the people who live in the Ecclesiastical Parish of Wylde Green.We have a strong children and youth element seen in our choirs and many other activities geared towards the younger members of the Parish and Church. Music is a strong suit for Emmanuel. Our Church Hall offers a range of activities provided by community organisations.
