The general purpose of the charity is to support the objects of the London Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO). These are to promote, maintain, improve and advance education, particularly musical education and to encourage the arts, including the arts of music, drama, mem, dance and singing.

We are an amateur dramatic society with our own theatre. We welcome members to participate in all aspects of productions - on stage, back stage and front of house. We stage our own performances and in addition hire the theatre out for use by other groups, professional and amateur. A dance studio is also available for hire.

We are a nature conservation charity that runs unique workshops, events and activities for children and their families, that teaches them about nature and the environment through fun, magic, theatre and story telling.

The Grasmere Reading Rooms, is a place where the parishers and boni fide guests have the right to socialise in the bar, play snooker, darts, etc, and the odd music nights, a place for the village to hold meetings.

To educate the public in the dramatic, musical and operatic arts and to further the development of the public appreciation and taste in the said arts by producing Musicals, Pantomimes, Plays for adults and children. We also educate by running a summer schools, workshops, weekly theatre clubs for children and open mic nights so the general public can showcase their talents for free at our venue.

We are a church that provides religious support to those interested in the community. We do this through regular outreach and providing a place where people can come and worship regularly. We operate in a hired church building where we invite people to come and worship, pray as well as hold occasional event such as concerts and seminars

There are three parts to the village hall together with changing rooms for the adjacent playing fields. Activities that are undertaken in the hall are - carpet bowls, mother & toddler groups, children's play & dance groups, dog training, private hire, flower clubs, ladies groups, keep fit, weight watchers, war games. training, singing groups, art clubs etc.

Herts Musical Memories provides singing sessions for people with dementia and their cares. The sessions are based in musical therapy and help people connect with their memories. The sessions comprise of gentle seated exercise, breathing exercises and vocal exercises. Each week the members of the group sing songs from musicals and popular culture woven around a variety of themes.

Assisting Liverpool Cathedral with the maintenance and education of the boy and girl choristers and the provision of singing and music tuition.

Guildford Area U3a organises in excess of 100 groups for persons retired or semi-retired. For an annual donation members are able to attend groups in Art,Crafts,Discussion,Drama,Games,Health Fitness & Leisure,History Languages, Literature, Music, Research and the Sciences.

The presentation of orchestral concerts, workshops and other educational/outreach projects to help to bring music into the lives of the general public.

Understanding how the environment influenced ancient civilisations thousands of years ago to produce life transforming scriptures & literature like the Vedas with deep knowledge about life & the universe through which even today we can learn and improve our quality of life and the world we live in.

The advancement of the art of opera by the provision of artistic projects including performances of rare works related to supernatural and/or gothic subjects.

For music lessons in all styles by qualified experienced teachers on all instruments, singing and music theory. All ages , abilities welcome. Instrument hire, music library, music shop, practice rooms available. Music appreciation classes are held at the school which is also the public examination centre for practical music exams.

The hall is used for community functions, operating as a community hub with use by: Skelton village school, local youth, adult and senior groups, meetings, classes etc, as well as a polling station. Its activities include keep fit, theatre, dances, school, church and social gatherings and suppers and is available for private hire for social events. Open to all ages, abilities and ethnicities.

We stage theatrical productions of the highest quality, pushing the boundaries of artistic practice. As well as full productions in theatres, we carry out work such as rehearsed readings and location based pieces such as performances in non-theatrical spaces. We work collaboratively with artists from different fields to make interdisciplinary work that is socially engaged.

Provide education to members, organise language and music classes, seminars on religious, social and cultural issues, support women, youth and the elderly. Help members research on religious issues, provide Kirtan and Gurbani experience, help the needy in all respects, celebrate social and religious festival including all Gurpurab's. Create Sikhism awareness by arranging worship and lectures.

To promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the Arts, by (a) producing an annual Festival (b) providing information about artistic activity in Holmfirth and the Holme Valley (c) providing support to local arts organisations in Holmfirth and the Holme Valley (d) acting as an informal conduit between Kirklees and Arts organisations in the Holme Valley

The charity runs the New Windmill Hall, Upminster which is available for use by the inhabitants of Upminster and surrounding areas for recreation and leisure time activities. These activities include wedding receptions,birthday and anniversary parties,ballet dancing, ballroom dancing and concerts etc. Local associations also use the hall for their regular meetings.

Community organisation which aims to support the residents of the local area in the activities of recreation, including a number of societys and a number of different dance groups.

Our core training is based on seamanship and traditional maritime skills, but Cadets can also study mechanical and electrical engineering, communications, cookery, computers, band musician, Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, and a host of associated subjects to prepare them for adult life.

GC also helps to nurture exceptionally talented young musicians in the early stages of their professional career with grants and performance opportunities.
