The church has met for worship, prayer and teaching. As part of the community activities it has visited people in the surround area to pray with them. There is a youth active youth group and we work alongside other churches especially in the Healing on the Streets outreach. This has led us to talk directly to and pray with the stallholders. We have also been reviewing linking up with CAP

Our Base is a youth and community organisation based in Tower Hamlets.The organisation offers a wide range of community, health and sporting initiatives tailored to the needs of the community. We have a number of events and projects underway at present including Play Rangers, Short Mat Bowls, Friends of the Dippy, Tower View Open Space, and our award winning community garden. Growing soft fruit, vegetables and flowers.

The Community Association provides social and leisure facilities for local inhabitants. It runs a Parent & toddler group on up to four mornings per week and a Junior youth Club every Wednesday. A monthly Family Night and disco provides an opportunity for local residents to get together socially. The Community Centre is also available for private hire to individuals and local organisations.

The charity has been set up in preparation for a transfer of assets of a community centre and land from Newcastle City Council as part of their divestment policy. The Charity is currently dormant awaiting Council decisions on the terms of that transfer.The Community Centre is currently managed by our charity Westerhope and District Community Association registered charity number 1044378.

BCAWA focuses on schools (furniture, stationery, concrete floors), hygiene (toilets), library facilities, water and electricity, teacher training, and on income sustainability and 'survival' meaning food, school fees and medication. LLA is a charity providing support of education and learning in the Parish of Lympstone

Strengthening and Empowering People was St Edward's Development Project (STEP) is a fully independent community organisation, addressing social isolation and loneliness via community activities for all ages including amongst parents at our toddler group, through inter-generational activities and events. It was part of St Edward's Church Mottingham but has now parted from that partnership.
