Having raised enough funds, our main activity in 2007 was to install the final phase of the new village play area which was completed in March. We also supplied funds to the youth club to pay for a volunteer for one year and to the school for another white board and new computers. We continued to raise money through village activities and donations.

Yes Africa has organised many community activities such as Rainbow Festival, Heritage Media Project in Partnership with Croydon Museum and Museum of London, Driving Skills Training, and Job Search Skills Training.We have also run a Home/School Linkage Project consisting of mentoring children and visiting parents at home. The Sadaquat Social and Welfare Trust is a Burnley based community association dedicated to improving the social welfare and economic circumstances of the local Asian community. We work in and around the Daneshouse and Stoneyholme areas of Burnley - areas with very high proportions of Asian residents, and two of the most deprived areas in the Northwest of England.

Provide support to families with children suffering from Cancer by funding complimentary therapy service comprised of a Complementary therapy Nurse Specialist (CTNS). Provided at the children?s hospital beds at GOSH or within a complimentary therapy room. Families can also benefit from speaking with the nurse about their treatment. The charity also supports a number of community activities.
