Provision of community centre for the benefit of local residents

Providing a weekly meeting place for numerous community activities such as dancing, pilates, yoga, children's groups for music,etc,, Darby & Joan Club for the elderly. In addition there are random weekly events for adult and children,s parties and Village events

The charity owns & maintains the community hall and makes it available to locally-led user groups (kids club, judo, darts, youth, bingo) plus hiring out to other organisations including local authorities. We are purely funded by grants that we apply for and our own fund-raising activities.

A Community Centre providing the following groups:- Fibromyalgia Support Group, Art for over 50's, Children's Dance Classes, Sequence Dances, Tea Dances, Indoor Bowling, Slimming World, Pilates, Swing Dance Classes, Christian Fellowship Meetings, Keep Fit Classes, Karate Classes, Urban Dance Classes. Hall available for casual hire.

regular user groups i.e. Karate, Scouts,Pensioners Club. Children's Dance,Choir, Mother & Toddler Group,Bokwa, Boxercise, Bouncy Castle & Soft Play, Quiz Nights, Fun days & Christmas Baazar. Saturdays Evenings for parties etc, Sunday's for Childrens Parties.

Provision of facilities for local community clubs, educational activities and recreation, and to provide a space for community activities and events.

Provide a Hall and facilities as our village's home for all kinds of activities and events. Large lawn area enables outdoor events in good weather. It is busy but hire fees do not fully cover outgoings so the Committee also run fund raising events such as a monthly Village Market, Allotments and Film shows. Also we house local and general elections and the local emergency centre.

To manage the Village Hall for the use of residents without distinction of sex or of political, religious or other opinions, and in particular for use for meetings, lectures and classes, and other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

The Burgh Village Hall is used by the community for village activities ie indoor bowling, luncheon club, sports activities etc and the recreation centre is used for local bookings ie bingo, meetings etc

Rent of Hall for Community Activities

To raise and disburse charity and welfare grants/funds according to the Constitution of Lions Clubs International and the rules of the Charity Commissioners. To be involved in community activities and projects. To be active locally, nationally and internationally in respect of the aforementioned activities.

The provision of the village hall for the use of the inhabitants in the parish of Garway and surrounding area

General Charitable purposes providing amateur sports facilities including outdoor football and cricket pitches, multi-use games equipment including tennis, basketball, indoor kurling, table tennis and short mat bowls. Also accommodating various community activities including Family Fun Days, various clubs, hospitality venue for villagers and local neighbourhoods, and meeting venue.

Rent out rooms to a variety of groups, charitable and misc, also run a luncheon club with the help of volunteers

Activities to support the local community

Maintain, manage and promote, sports playing field, children's play area, public toilet facilities, including disabled access, and use of the Village Hall buildings for community activities.

A community association with community centre to bring together residents, local authorities, businesses interest groups, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to provide/promote facilities and communal activities in the interests of social welfare for recreation, education and leisure.
