We are a newly formed community organisation that is in the process of developing a range of community and social activities that will be of benefit to our community. We sort the views of our local community, service providers and other support organisations to ascertain what is needed here in Oldbury and the surrounding areas.

Provides accommodation for Community activities and private functions in Cartmel Fell Parish Hall. Manages the surrounding land known as Hodge Hill Allotment as an informal nature reserve with public access.

To promote the benefit of residents of Abney and the neighbourhood, by associating together the said residents and the local authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation primarily by establishing and maintaining a community centre.

Education/Training. Counselling. Advice and Information. Involved with young and old people of the community in activities from Indoor Bowling to Luncheon Clubs. Hall available for hire for private events and functions.

Youth activities: discussions, sports, recreational activities, etc. women's activities: discussions, social gatherings, etc.supplementary classes: There are regular supplementary classes for local children. spiritual/cultural activities: MCA trustees arrange spiritual/cultural activities for the local people on a regular basis.

Provide and maintain facilities for village activities including education classes, social events, over 50's monthly lunches and a 'Drop in Centre'. Organise advice on availability of social services, and arrange volunteer transport to medical appointments, for elderly residents. Fund raising is regularly undertaken to provide funds for these activities.

The object of the CIO is to provide a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of the parish of Chalton in the county of Bedford without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for meetings, lectures and classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation with the purpose of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

Staxton Village is the non profit making village hall in Staxton & Wilerby, where community activities for all age groups can take part. the hall is for anyone to hire for community activities. We have regular old time dancing for the retired, and we provide a monthly two course lunch, and a monthly film show. The hall is maintained to a very high level and is admired by all visitors.

Blue Box Belper supports residents of the Parks Estate and surrounding area to improve the quality of their lives. We are working towards rebuilding a new Community Centre, whilst also running community activities including: a monthly social gathering, delivering a quarterly newsletter, hosting community fun days, running a fortnightly craft group, supporting youth provision, and fundraising.
