The charity holds fund-raising events in its locality which is Brigg and surrounding villages. It then makes grants to individuals and groups in its locality. In addition, limited grants are made to Lions Clubs International international appeals and in relief of disasters.

Colne Valley Lions Club serves the villages in and around the Colne Valley area to the west of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.Fund raising activities include annual Santa Sleigh, Easter Egg Raffle, Marsden 10 miler and Beer Festival.We also 'serve' the community by planting daffodil bulbs (over 30,000), planting trees (over 16,000), plus have provided 5 defibrillators and 5 community benches.

Fundraising continued with golf day, corporate party night, christmas draw, santa claus grotto, street collections, etc. Donations made to individuals and organisations, christmas hampers to senior citizens, panto for handicapped children, local schools,British heart foundation,Macmillan cancer care, U K armed forces memorial fund,Scunthorpe church of England school,Girl guides ,Boy scouts.

As well as providing grants to deserving causes within Wells and surrounding area, the City of Wells Lions Club undertakes a number of community service projects inc. Wells Moat Boat Races, MayDay festivities, Diabetes and other health related events for the benefit of the public.

We are a Non-profit Charity - part of a world wide group of charities. We provide support for our local community. We fund raise to provide hampers at Christmas to Vulnerable people. We assist with food banks and womens refuge litter picking and help anywhere we can locally.

Paignton Lions club was established in 1971. Part of Lions Clubs International, a voluntary organisation of over 44000 Lions Clubs in 193 countries. Total membership is over 1.4 million members. What are we -We are a non-profit making charity. ALL public donations and funds raised are passed straight to good causes.

The Charity provides grants towards the purchase of equipment and services for local individuals and organisations unable to obtain assistance from any other source. It will also work with other charitable organisations to raise funds or make donations to worthy causes or individuals.Each is assessed on its individual merit. We hold 'can' collections for our own funds at a number of local supermarkets and also collect on behalf of other charities ie Children in Need, Marie Curie. We have a fun day in the summer in conjunction with Redditch Borough Councils Green Fair. Other charities may set up a stall to fund raise and promote themselves. This is usually held at the Arrow Valley Park in Redditch in June.

Liverpool Lions are ordinary people who do extraordinary things to help others and support good causes. We support a range of projects in the Merseyside area and because we are local we serve the unique needs of the communities in which we live.
