General Charitable Purposes

Workington Derwent Rotary raise funds to support both local and international communities. Individuals or groups within the Workington area can apply for funding or practical support. We also offer financial support to identified projects overseas.

Helping local good causes and international appeals

The object of the trust is to hold and apply the trust fund to or for the relief of the poor and needy or other such charitable purposes as the club shall direct.

Community service organisation Raising Monies in our local area for the needs of the deprived and disfunctional families, also aged and infirm. All applications for assistance are considered, including, International Disasters.

We seek to help communities at a local, national and overseas level.

The collection of the proceeds of fundraising by the Rotary Club of Hounslow and their eventual distribution to worthy causes benefitting the poor and needy as agreed by club members.

As a Lion's Club, we run a number of fund raising events during the year which enables us to make donations to a wide variety of local, national and international charities and appeals.

Fundraising by Club committes involving Club members and members of the public. Activities range from street collections to raffles and auctions. Funds raised go to individuals and organisations both locally, in the Uk and overseas.

Manning Teddy bear stalls, holding bingo evenings to raise money to help anyone in need in the local community.

Our activity is as a voluntary services organisation for the public benefit, in particular charitable fundraising and providing grants in support of local, national and international charity and relief in vocational, community and youth services including education, raising awareness and other such charitable purposes as the Trustees shall in duly constituted meetings direct from time to time.
