Associations Charities That specialise in Service clubs

We raise funds through events, e.g. Treasure hunts, Gourmet Evenings, Quizzes and collections.

The principal charities and/or community services currently supported are Garden House Hospice for North Hertfordshire, Mary's Meals (Uganda), Home Start , and Disaster Relief generally.

The Rotary Club of Dereham raises funds for distribution to organisations and individuals who operate within the geographical area of Mid Norfolk. We also raise funds for submission to the Rotary Foundation.

Providing donations for various good causes both locally (i.e. Senior Citizens festive parties, schools and churches) nationally (financial support for hospices, hospitals, etc.) internationally ( Eye camps, water aid, disaster funds etc.) by fund raising activities from a Christmas Float collection, easter egg draw in local pubs, annual charity golf tournament and Teddy Bear draw in local pubs.

RUN BOTH EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL FUNCTIONS TO RAISE MONEY FOR NOTABLE NATIONAL AND LOCAL CHARITIES TOGETHER WITH FUNDING FOR INDIVIDUAL PEOPLE. FUNDS RAISED WILL INCLUDE HELP AND ASSISTANCE TO PEOPLE LIVING IN BOTH THE UK AND ABROAD. ROTARY HAS AN INTERNATIONAL CHARITY TO WHICH THE ROTARY CLUB OF WETHERBY WHARFEDALE SUBSCRIBES. EACH YEAR WE IDENTIFY A MAJOR CHARITABLE PROJECT TO SUPPORT

Raising money to distribute to other charities or other deserving causes.

Helping the local needs of schools, old age institutions, youth activities and general charitable projects.

Worcester Lions Club provides hands-on service and grants in support of deserving causes primarily within the City of Worcester and surrounding areas. Worcester Lions Club also supports charitable projects in the wider community, at regional, national and international level through Lions Clubs International, of which it is an affiliated Club.

Support for local and National and International Charities within the spirit of the Rotary International Organisation

To create and foster a spirit of understanding To take an active interest in the civic cultural social and moral welfare of the communityTo encourage service minded people to serve their community without personal financial reward and to encourage efficiency and promote high ethical standards in commerce industry professions public works and private endeavours

Relief of the poor and needy or support of such other charitable purpose, institution, society or object as the club shall in duly constituted meeting from time to time direct.

Charitable work in the community especially for the elderly including dementia sufferers & their carers and young people and also fund raising for local charities. Through Rotary International we are involved in the provision of services elsewhere in the world including disaster areas through the provision of Shelter and Emergency boxes, polio eradication, shoe boxes for under-privileged children.

Supplying specific boxed kits of new tools namely, Carpenter, Builder, Mechanic, Blacksmith, Tailor/seamstress and Teacher to regenerate areas after disasters and also to be used for the training of young people to help sustain a community.

General charitable activities

The charity organises Fund Raising Events collections and receives Donations. Specific fund raising events include organising and running a 10k Beach Run, Children in Need, Music Nights for Syrian Children Fund joint Venture organising Star Trek Night Walk and other sponsorship events.

Bromsgrove Lions Club (CIO) serves their community and helps people internationally. They work with children, the elderly and those disabled and/or disadvantaged, benefiting those helped, and the wider community, making it a better place to live and work. They also make grants to national and international appeals (eg. relieving poverty, responding to disasters, or helping disabled people).

Organising facilities to enable charitable events to take place

Assisting local people and organisations at home and abroad with their projects and with humanitarian aid when appropriate.Twinning activities with a Rotary Club in Cape Town, South Africa.
