We provide a venue in the village as a gathering / meeting place for many of our areas organizations, societies and clubs. (Most notably the Cricket, Horticulture, WI, Classic Motor Cycle, Model, Youth Clubs, Mother & Toddler Group, plus Community Social Club). The Social Club provides a popular venue for family celebration / anniversaries, a compact as well as large social centre for our village.

we deliver worthwhile youth programmes for each section which has included; cooking and sports competitions, archery, climbing, axe throwing and hillwalking activities along with cultural, environmental and social activities. we have also delivered a range of nights away experiences from sleepovers to four day expeditions including an international expedition in the Republic of Ireland.

Educational and social activities for women

A member led rural youth group which developes skills and education for any young people aged 10-26 years. Activities range from sports, public speaking, cattle showing and stock Judging, club fundraising events & social activities, dance & entertainment productions, drama and local community work.

Providing social activities for older people includes coffee mornings, coach outings, meetings with speakers and the National Pensioners Parliament.Providing adovcacy services in respect of attendance allowance, carers allowance, disability living allowance, pension credit, housing benefit and council tax benefits.

Education, womens social group

The Village Hall Committee is responsible for the land it owns in Trust i.e. the village hall and surrounding grounds, the Calor Field, and the Rugby Club Field plus the organisation of social activities and events.

To provide accommodation for the purpose of education,training and social activities for people of all ages and backgrounds and facilities as a general meeting hall for all village activities.The main activities being - Gardening Association, Social Clubs, Village History Association, private parties and general meeting hall for Whilton residents and their visitors

We provide and fund around a dozen emergency call lifelines for the elderly, We give grants to University, A level and vocational students and apprentices. We give grants to the Wallop primary and pre school. We give a small Xmas hampers to the elderly who are on their own. We undertake one off projects in keeping with our charitable objects in support of both individuals and groups in need.

Relief of loneliness and isolation in the bereaved through social activities and lunch clubs.

To support the residents educational, mental, physical and social activities. Engage with local authorities, voluntary and other charitable organisations in a common effort to advance social welfare. To support conservation, biodiversity and the inprovement of the natural environment. Promote and support good citizenship, public engagement, quality of life and welfare of the residents.

Bagby and Balk Village society is a charity set up to support the community. We insure and maintain a playpark which is a hub for children / parents and grandparents. We host community events and social activities. We support the local football team and insure the sports field.

Craft Club - Tuesdays 10 am - 1 pm Principally cane work, but any other craft work is encouraged.Social Club - Wednesday 2 - 4 pm Entertainment provided by either visiting performers or activities such as dominoes or bingo.

Provides shopping vouchers for over 70's in Hadleigh at christmas. Operates over 60's social club. Organises theatre trips & other coach outings for over 60's.

We also pay for school coaches to take children on trips.

The making of donations to local, national and international charities. Supporting other deserving causes (primarily local to Wallasey but also more widely on Merseyside), sponsoring exchange students, sponsoring educational and social activities for young students, senior and other citizens and supporting Rotary Foundation.
