We provide fundraising and social activities to support the school community and to help the school to provide those added extras to enhance the children's school life.We are currently trying to raise additional funds to enable a new library project to be undertaken.

School based social activities/fundraising events

The Great Clacton Community Association is responsible for the maintenance and hire of the Great Clacton Community Hall, for the benefit of local people. The Hall is hired for regular meetings of social groups, e.g. Bowls Club, Whist Club, Leisure Club, Dance Clubs, Slimming World and Organ Society, and is also hired to members of the public for parties, etc.

To provide social activity and entertainment opportunities to local groups and individuals who are either learning and /or physically disabled, suffer with dementia or who are incapacitated in any way, either physically or mentally. The overall aim been to facilitate fun and enjoyment to such groups and individuals, with the intention of enhancing and improving the overall quality of their lives.

Lighthouse school PTA organises fundraising and related social activities in order to build relationships between families and school and to raise funds so that resources can be bought that will directly benefit and support the students in their education at school.

We support hosts and guests in the local area by providing opportunities for people to network and access information and support.We host WhatsApp groups, run weekly social meet ups, provide free English lessons, run a free shop from donations, fund a dedicated Ukraine specific Citizens Advice service and provide grants.We raise funds to support these initiatives.

Meet twice monthly for social activities and to provide speakers to give talks and information on subjects which are appropriate to those who have suffered strokes and also their carers. The Friends of Smithy Bridge School Association organise fundraising and social activities to benefit the children of Smithy Bridge Primary School. Egs of activities: Quiz Night, Xmas fair, Oompah night, Summer Fair, Magic show, mothers and fathers day gifts. Egs of items purchased in 2015/16 guided reading books, christmas parties and gifts,school extension fund, contributuon to year 6 PGL.

Parish Hall - Relgious and social activities

The King George's Hall is managed by the King George's Hall Management Committee for the purpose of a meeting place for the local scouts club and other social groups for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Parish of Harleston with Redenhall.

We hold a social club once per month in Sidcup and a peer led discussion group once a month.
