Women's Institute

Hold monthly meetings with speakers or demonstrators. Have two Coffee mornings a year to raise funds for the W.I. Go the Annual Council Meetings of the W.I. Support other activities and Events that the Federation organise.

We raise money to support the Tibenham Womens. I.E. Games evenings, craft days.

The Reading Room is rented out to the village first school and is used as and when it is needed by others in the village, eg WI, Garden Club, Bowls, Harvest Festival, Friends of Newton School, Art Club, etc.

Monthly meetings in Gorsley Chapel where we have speakers on a variety of subjects. We visit local places of interest as well as theatre trips or evenings out for dinner etc. Members are able to attend events organised by the Gloucestershire Federation. We strive to involve ourselves in local issues plus those that are backed by the WI

The aim are to enable women who are interested in issues associated with rural life, including arts, crafts and sciences to improve and develope conditions of rural life, to advance thier education in citizenship, in public questions both national and internatial, in music, drama and other culturual subjects. It seeks to give to women the oppertunity of working together through the W.I

Dunster Branch of Womens Instute

We are a WI we hold monthly meetings for our members which we normally have a speaker. And we have fund raising events to raise money to help local people and have raised money for Mcmillan coffee morning and MS Society.

Carries out aims & objectives of womens institute under the umbrella of National Federation Of Womens Institutes.

The Womens Institute is a countrywide organisation and, as such, is a familiar one to the public. Our activities are not restricted to members but are also greatly concerned in assisting others locally.

Branch of the Womens Institute for the promotion and education of its members. We have speakers and demostrations on a wide variety of topics and fundraise to support the activites.

The Women's Institute exists to educate women to enable them to provide an effective role in the community, to expand their horizons and to develop and pass on important skills.

Offer educational workshops and recreational activities and support the local community.

To improve and develop conditions for women in both rural and urban communities and advance the education of women in citizenship, in public questions both national and international, in music, drama and other cultural subjects; also to secure instruction and training in of agriculture, handicrafts, home economics, health and social welfare. PROVIDES SPEAKERS ON DIFFERENT SUBJECTS. HAVE OUTINGS FOR MEMBERS ETC

Help in community

we are in a rual area based in a school where we help eg: gardening growing veg making costume for school plays and help in other ares if needed

Cambo WI provides social meeting opportunities for local women. It meets monthly on the third Monday at 7.15pm. We are committed to supporting educational needs through an Educational Bursary Fund.
