THE MAIN PURPOSES OF THE WOMEN'S INSTITUTE ORGANISATION ARE TO ENABLE WOMEN WHO ARE INTERESTED IN ISSUES ASSOCIATED WITH RURAL LIFE, INCLUDING ARTS, CRAFTS AND SCIENCES TO IMPROVE AND DEVELOP CONDITIONS OF RURAL LIFE, TO ADVANCE THEIR EDUCATION IN CITIZENSHIP, IN PUBLIC QUESTIONS BOTH NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL, IN MUSIC, DRAMA AND OTHER CULTURAL SUBJECTS AND IN ALL BRANCHES OF AGRICULTURE ETC.

We exist to improve understanding and provision of psychotherapy in our region. We offer two routes to qualification as a psychotherapist, as well as CPD events for professionals and outreach events for the public. WMIP also operates a referral service and an online directory of therapists. We also support our members to develop and maintain themselves in safe, effective and ethical practice.

The WI is the largest voluntary women's organisation in the UK. It exists to educate women to enable them to play an effective role in the community, to expand their horizons and to develop and pass on important skills.

Provision of village hall facilities for the community to use for sports, recreational, educational, health and meetings. Current activities include Karate, Judo, Kendal Model Railway Club, Judo, Theatrical shows and Woodturning Club.The Hall offers space for business meetings and private parties, and is licenced and can provide a bar. Kempshott Village Hall is situated in picturesque Stratton Park, Kempshott. It is an ideal meeting place for lots of user groups such as Keep Fit, Toddler Sense, Martial Arts, Women's Institute, Art & Craft Groups, Keep Fit and Inspero Garden Charity, We also have Noah's Ark which is a Pre-School who use part of the hall from Monday - Friday.

We promote and teach the skills-craft of knotting and associated crafts to members of the public (retired groups -WI, youth groups-scouts, guides, army/sea cadets). We hold a library of knot books for reference, for public use. We publish (quarterly) a knotting magazine. We maintain a website including a forum for information exhange including tutorials.

Brookwood Memorial Halls are the Village Halls for the village of Brookwood. The Charity provides facilities for local groups and charities, (such as Womens Institute, Scouts Association and Guides Association).
