The Village Hall supports all aspects of community life. This currently includes a weekly Social Club for all ages. The Women's Institute meetings. Village Church activities. Community Council meetings and local Elections. Family celebration functions.

THE WI FOUNDING PRINCIPLE WAS AND STILL IS EDUCATION. IT ALSO PROVIDES COMPANIONSHIP AND FRIENDSHIP.

Monthly meetings, talks, outings, theatre visits

We hold 12 monthly meetings a year. We have several educational visits a year. We try to meet socially, other than for the above, every 6-8 weeks. We also attend other WI's activities.

Education of women

WRI supports organisations in South and West Asia and sub-Saharan Africa working for social justice and human rights for widows.

Monthly meetings with speaker. Educational trips and visits.

Monthly meeting on 2nd Wednesday of each month at Scott Drive Church, Scott Drive Exmouth with an interesting speaker or demonstrator and social time at each meeting. Other activities include skittles, walks, meals out and generally enjoying ourselves.

Monthly meetings for ladies of all ages with speakers about diversified subjects (eg ecology, nature, antiques, climate change etc). Fund raising for less fortunate women of the world. Outings to stately homes and gardens. Walking, scrabble, poetry, craft groups within our WI.

Womens Institute

To enable women who are interested in issues associated with rural life to improve and develop conditions of rural life, seeking to give women the opportunity to meet, work together and put into practise the ideals of the womens institute.

We hold monthly indoor meetings with speakers who educate and entertain us on a wide range of subjects, and we go on outdoor meetings to local places of interest. We raise money for members to go on courses at Denman College. We join in local events and raise money for local causes eg our local childrens hospice.

We play a unique role in providing women with educational opportunities and the chance to build new skills, to take part in a wide variety of activities and to campaign on issues that matter to them and their communities.

Encourages women in rural areas to be involved in the community.
