MEETINGS FOR WOMEN, TO EDUCATE & ENCOURAGE ENJOYMENT IN ACTIVITIES TO HELP OTHERS IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY AND SUPPORT OTHERS IN NEED IN THE WORLD.

To provide a place for people with learning difficulties to meet, play music, dance, play WI plus outings and advice on benefits.

The education and training of women in rural areas

To improve and develop conditions of rural life and to advance the education of country women in citizenship, in public questions both national and inter-national, in music, drama and other cultural subjects, also to secure instruction and training in all branches of agriculture, handicrafts, home economics, health and social welfare.

Stone Allerton Village Hall (The Old Schoolroom) is used for village meetings & clubs e.g. WI, Youth Club, Mothers & Toddlers group, Art Group, Parish Council meetings, Harvest Home committee meetings etc, as well as social and community events and activities. It is also used as a Polling Station for elections.

To offer friendship and companionship. To improve and develop the quality of life, particularly in rural areas for women and their families. Advance the education of women in citizenship and public issues, national and international.

MONTHLY meetings with speakers workshops for crafts social outings .

Womens group for companionship, education and debating current issues.

Local Women's Institute providing social opportunities for women, including elderly and disabled people.

Operates within the parish of Poltimore and surronding area in Exeter Devon promoting the interests of the National Federation of the Womens Institute

STOKE CLIMSLAND WOMEN'S INSTITUTE is a member of the Cornwall Federation of Women's Institutes, part of the National Federation of Women's Institutes. It seeks to further in our locality the WI's aims of providing opportunities for women to make friends, attend talks, demonstrations and classes, and to promote joint discussion and action over issues of local, national and international importance.

WE ARE A LOCAL WOMEN'S INSTITUTE. WE MEET MONTHLY WITH A LOCAL OR REGIONAL SPEAKER. WE ARE INVOLVED WITH THE W.I NATIONALLY AND FOLLOW THEIR INFORMATION AND GUIDANCE. WE AIM TO KEEP OUR MEMBERS INFORMED AS WELL AS INTERESTED IN ALL ASPECTS OF THE INSTITUTE.
