Provision of education & training for young people

Education of young girls aged 5 - 25

Girlguiding Darnley East District offers girls and young women quality girl-led guiding opportunities,presenting challenge and adventure, which develop their potential and enable them to make a positivecontribution to their community and beyond.

We support children in a region of Tanzania through links to a Primary School in Mwanza . Donations to the project help to provide new classrooms, furniture for classrooms, stationery for students, sanitary wear for girls, fresh water, textbooks, electricity, equipment, e.g. for sports or special needs children. The Project also supports a local baby home, orphanage and street children's centre.

The charity manages the building and grounds for 1st St Lawrence Scout Group and 6th Ramsgate Girl Guide Company.

We aim to provide a building for young people in guiding also meeting place for older people for recreation, education activities and pleasure. To provide meeting place for training of guiders.

The Women's Institute is a non sectarian, non party political organisation for women and girls. The main objectives are educational and we take part in campaigns on social issues.

Girlguiding provides girls & women from the age of 5 years and upwards an array of activies, that helps them to socialise, build their confidence and make lifetime frendships and to take part with events within the local community.

The Charity is set up to donate to other Charities in the UK . The Charities that will be supported are those who provide assistance to persons in or leaving prisons, recovering addicts from any substance abuse, and the school Tonbridge County Grammar School for girls. These priorities are reviewed every two years.

Girlguiding activities

1. To advance education of pupiles of the Government Boys High School and College, and Girls High School and College Chakswari, Azad Kkashmir.2. To relieve sickness and distress and promote good health by assisting the work of the Chakswari Health Clinic, Azad Kashmir.

Organisational structure, guidance and help within Kidderminster Girlguiding to enable districts and units to carry out programmes of activities appropriate to each age group in accordance with the principles of the association.
