The preschool offers a fun, caring and stimulating environment for preschool children aged 2-5 years. We adhere to the EYFS and follow PLA guidance to ensure that this is achieved. Preschool runs 38 weeks/year offering morning and afternoon sessions incl. lunch club Monday-Thursday and morning session only on Fridays. We have space for 32 children in the morning and 22 in the afternoon.

To enhance the development and education of children under statutory school age in the Beaminster area. This is achieved by the provision of a preschool within the premises of St Mary's Academy. The group is run by staff trained to a high standard and receives support from the Local Authority.

Stepping Stones Pre School's objectives in the Setting are to enhance the development and education of the children under statutory school age.

Child care for pre-school children.

Our regular activities are our twice-Sunday services; weekly midweek meetings (home groups and prayer meetings), Sunday school, Little Lambs toddler group (0-4yrs), children's Lift Off Club (7-11yrs) and youth group (11-16yrs); monthly Causeway group for adults with learning difficulties and men's and women's breakfasts / gatherings, and our annual one-day Easter Holiday Bible Club.

A community nursery offering a range of pre-school activities for 2 1/2 to 5 year olds. The nursery is open Monday to Friday mornings, as well as Monday and Thursday afternoons until 2:45, with an optional lunch club on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Openwoodgate Pre-school is a community based Pre-school in Openwoodgate, Belper. Pre-school care and education is provided by our team of Early Years Workers in St Mark's Church Hall. The group is regulated by Ofsted and is a registered charity.

We fund raise throughout the year to purchase new equipment and toys. Our committee is responsible for the overseeing of the charity, whilst the staff and manager complete the day to day responsibilities.
