Acts as an umbrella organisation for local groups to use the building for their activities. All ages are catered for, from babies and toddlers to over-eighties. The charity has an equal opportunities policy and people of all races and cultures use the facility. As well as classes, the building is used for birthday parties, wedding receptions and meetings.

The provision of child care, play, creative and youth activities for children, young people and families from the inner city wards of the City of Plymouth.

Stationers Playgroup is a community run pre-school providing Early Years Education through play and social activities for two, three and four year olds.

The following activities are held at the centre five times prayer, education for young children, Arabic classes for youth and Quranic classes for children and teenagers. We also provide community service for local people.

To provide a playscheme for 2 to 4 year olds

We are a pre-school running 7 sessions per week from Monday to Friday for children aged 2-5 years, term time only. We have a learning through play structure, with painting, play dough, physical play, drawing plus much more. Fully qualified staff run the sessions.

An evangelical church known as Garston Community Church reaching out to the local community, catering for young and old with, Kidz Klub, Youth Club and Seniors Club. Awarded charitable status in 1977, the Barbican Playgroup provides a pre-school playgroup for up to 28 children between the ages of 2 1/2 and 5 who live or work in the City of London. Playgroup sessions run parallel to normal school terms, Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 1.00pm, with extended afternoon sessions to 2.45pm for older children on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays for older children.
