Maintenance of a Village Hall and Playing field area for the benefit of the Village.User Groups include, Badminton clubs, Toddlers group, Youth club, Village school gym activities, judo club.

Sunday church services, bible study groups, parent and toddler group, Rainbow Tots Playgroup, Kidz Klub, youth group, music group, town centre coffee morning, schools work, support for home and overseas charities.

To provide quality care and education for Pre-School children, with an appropriate curriculum to meet their needs. Taking into account the needs arising from race, culture,language and religion. To share information resources and practical advice, whilst supporting the childrens families.

We provide and maintain a meeting place for the local church, school, mother's union, young farmers, holiday club for young children with associated village green and play ground open to the public at large free of charge. The hall is available for hire for private and fund raising functions.

Providing accommodation for all local groups, clubs, families and societies to enjoy all the normal facilities of a community centre for as low a price as possible (lowest in the area). Facilities include;- dancing, dance tuition (incl ballet), meeting rooms, sports and recreation, parties and celebrations, garden clubs & societies, stroke club, slimming classes, toddlers groups.

ICKLESHAM MEMORIAL HALL IS WHERE THE COMMUNITY MEET FOR DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES: ART, HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY MEETING, MOTHER AND TODDLERS, CHURCH, FOOTBALL CLUB, CRICKET CLUB, STOOL BALL, BOWLS CLUB, AEROBICS, DOCTORS' SURGERY. THE HALL IS THE MAIN LOCAL MEETING PLACE.

PRE SCHOOL EDUCATION

Brynamman Public Hall is a community oriented venue offering various local facilities, recreation, a volunteering program and employment in the village of Brynamman. The Public Hall is open 7 days a week, operating as a full time 2 screen cinema with a broad programme of films, theatre, snooker hall, and space for community groups such as the local Cylch / nursery. Est. 1926.

Throughout the year we have been endeavouring to include activities for the whole community. Parents/carers, committee, staff and children have all joined in with singing at local church, fun day at village fair, trips out, leavers parties and generally enjoying themselves whilst helping others. Children developing relationships with their peers through playing/learning.

Children's preschool playgroup, allowing children to develop and learn through play in an organised and friendly environment. Giving preschool children the confidence and independence to help prepare them for school.

We reach out to families by organising parenting groups, parent & toddler groups and marriage preparation resources, family holidays, support for families at our local prisons and women's refuges and a commitment to uphold members around the world in our prayers. Since September 2010 we have employed, with the help of grants, a Community Development Co-ordinator to facilitate this work.

Scouting activities for boys and girls from 6 to 14 years of age.

Providing safe and satisfying group play in which parents/carers have the right to take part, and encouraging othe charitable activities through which parents/carers may help the children.

The charity runs and maintains a hall for the benefit of the organisations & families of the parish of Weldon for functions, art classes, preschool, badminton, amateur dramatics, Indoor Bowls etc

EPCA aims to raise aspirations, educational achievement of young children from refugee background and equip them with skills that will increase their employability. EPCA believes that providing community based education for children & their families and widening their participation in learning leads towards building stronger and healthy communities.

Provides facilities for pre-school group and other local village organisations.

We are a preschool operating from a portacabin within school grounds. We have our own outdoor playarea comprising of a soft play surface and artificial grass with outdoor play equipment . We are Ofsted registered and offer sessions for 2-5year olds. The stimulating environment provides learning opportunities for children to play and explore. Further activities are planned to direct the learning.

Preschool set in a rural location offering day care for children aged 2 - 5 years.

Pre school age children receive education and opportunities to learn social skills. The school which most will move on to has fore knowledge of their potential, character and educational needs. Local parents have time to gain income or indulge in release time or visit elderly relations.

Providing scouting activities to young people aged 6 to 14 years. We have groups of Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts and Scouts.The 2nd Exeter Scout Group is affiliated to a national organisation, the Scout Association, although the Group is locally led and locally run by volunteers. Community activities - Charity fundraising events (shows, sales), dance lessons, fitness classes, choirs, pre-school group, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, young farmers meetings & dinners, annual village show. The hall is rented by villagers for weddings, parties and other private functions.

Our main aim is to provide a safe and happy environment for pre-school children, where they can learn to mix with other children and develop communication skills. We offer a chance to try new and varied activities four days a week during term time.

Part of the Ground Floor is leased free to the local authority providing the village with a library from April 2025. The remaining Ground Floor area is leased to a Children's Nursery . The First Floor comprises a large hall, smaller meeting room and kitchen. These rooms are hired by the local community for various meetings, groups, classes, family parties and community events.
