Under the umbrella of the Pre-Schooling Learning Alliance, we are a committee run group, providing learning and play opportunities for toddlers and pre-school children from birth until they move to a further setting as well as providing support to the parents.

Pre School

The Fairhill Estates Charity is open to applicants from Alston Moor, in Cumbria, who are experiencing financial hardship. Examples where the Charity can assist are: payment of winter fuel bills, funeral expenses, playgroup fees, some non-mandatory school trips, provision or replacement of some household goods. They can also assist with educational needs for people over the age of 25.

To provide facilities for the use of various groups in the village, Playgroup, Ladies club, Childrens Music Club, Ladies Keep Fit and any charitable fund raising events.

Fundraising activities to provide additional services and equipment for the use of staff and pupils at Arnold View Primary School.

The Old Friends Meeting House is a building which is used by various organisations in the village for play group, childrens parties, funerals and other small events. It caters for a low cost need for village organisations to enjoy their activities in a beautifully well maintained building

55 PLACE PRE-SCHOOL OFFERING FULL AND SESSIONAL CARE AND EDUCATION TO CHILDREN AGED 2 YEARS - 5 YEARS OLD

To provide play opportunities for children aged from birth to school age in the local community.

Provides a meeting place for parents and children from birth - three years. Avtivities include painting, playdough, gluing & sticking and seasonal craft activities as well as numerous toys and play equipment.

Charity originally set up to help with costs of "apprenticing of children of the village" (Harborough Magna)"Previously have made one off grants to help individuals within the village/parish with the costs of books/equipment for children/students or those on an apprenticeship. Have also assisted the local village "Early Birds" pre -school nursery with certain projects such as leavers books.

For the relief of poverty, distress & sickness amongst the people living within the area of the old urban district of Claycross in the county of Derbyshire & in particular for the benefit of families with young children who are in need of assistance.

We offer bursaries to those who come into hard times or to clergy families who are on very small incomes.

Parents come with their babies and toddlers twice a week. Activities include play, dressing up, story time, singing and art and craft activities.

We receive income from sporting rights at Napton reservoir and land rent. Town Lands Charity gives aid to groups and organisations in Napton - to benefit young/old/youth etc. i.e. Donations to school, playgroup, sports groups, Village Hall etc. We do not provide grants for individuals.

Friends of Acorns raise funds to enrich and support the development of children who are in the Early Years Foundation Stage of education (EYFS) within Acorns Pre-School, Christain Malford, Church of England Primary School, the village of Christian Malford and adjoining communities.

Family group which meets once a week, providing a variety of activities for pre-school aged children and their parents/carers.

Parent's and their Babies/Toddlers meet once a week for 2 1/2 to 3 hours in the local village hall. The children are able to play and interact with each other with a variety of toys/books etc. A sit down activity is done with the children weekly e.g. painting, drawing, making. It is also good socialisation for the parents.
