The Retired Clergy and Dependants Fund provides for the relief of poverty by assisting retired Church of England clergy, licensed lay workers or deserted spouses of clergy who reside or served in the Diocese of Carlisle and their dependants. The charity's objects are to advance the education of the students at The Cherwell School in Oxford, and it does this by raising funds to make grants to the school to assist in the provision of facilities for education and educational wellbeing at the school.
