We are a grant giving charity. We give financial grants to organisations in Sierra Leone working to relieve sickness and/or relieve poverty and/or advance education.

To advance education by the provision and maintainence of K Tahta Armenian Community School through the provision of grants to undergaduates and follow courses in Armenian Studies or similar subjects.To assist students who are suffering from financial hardship or who are otherwise in need due to their social or economic circumstances.

The object of the charity is to apply the clear income in relieving the need among clergy, deaconesses and licensed lay workers who are resident in or have served in the Diocese of Leeds and among persons who are dependent relatives of any members of the clergy by making grants of money.

The Trustees administer the charity in accordance with the objectives of the trust deed. The Trustees make grants to registered charities. There is a separate Cancer Fund within the charity the income of which is used to support charities involved in any major way with cancer treatment, research or relief.

The prime purpose is to provide financial assistance to "poor clergy" throughout the Chelmsford Diocese. This includes those whose own parents are now among their dependants. Support extends into retirement and-after death-continues to provide grants for surviving spouses and dependant children.

Our overriding aim is to improve the economic prospects and social benefits for the Upper Valleys by encouraging visitors, principally by re-opening the Rhondda Tunnel to become the world's longest continually-open cycling & walking tunnel. We focus on the needs and demands of the local area, as well as offering space for private functions in our purpose built community centre. We operate a tail lift enables minibus using volunteer drivers from within the club to provide transport to mainly elderly local residents. We support international appeals raised by our parent body, Lions Clubs International.
