The trustees policy is to distribute the charitys income to such charitable purposes as they see fit particulary but not exclusively in Leicester and county smaller local charities are favoured rather than large national ones although local activities of these could be supported. Any grants for individuals are only made through refering agencies like social services, NHS trusts etc.

The trust's objects are to advance education of the public at large in the science of zoology by the study of wildlife in its natural habitat particularly in Kenya and the rest of Africa.

The charity (MVS) trains its members in maritime, engineering, operations and communications skills.The MVS has a policy of positive social inclusion and around 30% of members are from the disadvantaged sectors of society.MVS members use their skills to support local and national authorities in times of major events, emergencies both real and exercised and in civil resilience.

The Trust awards grants for agricultural education in East Anglia, and aims to advance the education of the public in all aspects of agriculture and farming by providing grants for training and research.

The main activities under taken by the Salisbury & South Wilts District Scout Council is to promote Scouting to young people between the ages of 6 - 25 as per the Scout Association's Policy and Rules. For the benefit of such charitable objects and purposes as the trustees may in their discretion think fit which objects and purposes promote,improve,develop and maintain public education in and appreciation of the art and science of music by sponsoring or by otherwise supporting public concerts, recitals and performances by amateur and professional organisations.

Since the inception of the Trust the main area of funding has been in assisting the development and needs of the school. The policy of the Charitable Trust is to review on a regular basis requests for financial assistance which meet the objectives and criteria of the Trust.
