Dementia Matters provides support services to people with dementia and other degenerative neurological disorders and their carers. A grant-making trust operating in the following fields: i. supporting research into and disseminating information to the public about specific aspects of the Christian Religion, ii. supporting the relief of poverty and sickness in the Bedford area through the work of recognised local health and social care related organisations.

The Rothley Trust is a grant making trust which makes small grants to charitable organisations and projects in the North East of England. It has been operating since 1959.

Provides financial assistance to deserving veterinary surgeons, RVNs and their dependants; provides a helpline and website for veterinary surgeons, students and nurses; provides for the relief of mental and physical illness, associated with compulsive behaviour or stress or depression, which may or may not result from alcohol or drug addiction or other forms of dependence.

The charity runs the Rio Cinema - an independent cinema with a unique policy of community access and local involvement. The cinema presents a mix of main feature films, programmes for children and the elderly, rep shows, special events and festivals. The principal activity of the charity is to promote and advance the dramatic and other performing arts for the benefit of the public through supporting the work of various charitable foundations together with the provision of grants to people in the arts.

Colchester Arts Centre aims to provide a diverse and eclectic performance programme of arts that respond to current practices in arts and meet specific needs of the community it serves. The artistic policy is to create a bias towards new work, innovation and experimentation. It also creates work to promote and inclusive and accessible programme.
