SEBDA is a multi-disciplinary association. It serves the interests of children and young people experiencing difficulties in their social, emotional and mental health development by: promoting understanding of their needs;supporting those who work with them; providing training and education; engaging with policy making agencies and service providers;disseminating good practice.

Our activities are based around the education of the public in transport heritage generally, particularly in the Nottingham conurbation through preserving for posterity a collection of passenger service vehicles and associated artefacts. In August 2015 we leased a period bus garage in Hucknall to develop into a transport museum . We aim to engage all areas of the local community in our work.

We raise money to help relieve sickness, suffering and distress of those afflicted with leukaemia and other blood related disorders, in particular but not exclusively by the provision of funded research. The object of the charity is the making of grants to chartable causes chosen by the trustees at their absolute discretion.This includes many medical and relief of poverty charities

To provide counselling, therapy and associated holistic support services including advocacy for individuals and family groups, including children who have experienced traumatic life events such as bereavement, grief or loss, anyone subjected to domestic abuse or experiencing emotional distress. We provide training for professionals to enhance understanding of trauma and trauma informed approach.

Raising of funds by donation, running sheltered accommodation and making grants/donations

Grant giving largely in the areas of education, disability and humanitarian aid.

Providing services which promote the health and well being of older people and their carers to live independantly within their local community. S.G.N.S. provides the following activities;Luncheon clubs, monthly trips, holiday,advice & information drop-in, Outreach-home assessment, advocacy, benefit checks, line dancing class, Knitting Circle, Digital Drop-in, shopping trip, annual events.

We provide volunteers who are parents of children with additional needs to participate in public sector meetings to provide the voice of parents to inform the creation of policy and practice by those public sector bodies. These volunteers are qualified to act in this role by virtue of their experience.

Provides workshops and education for in health matters and radiation protection where requested throughout the world. Co-operates with United Nations, World Health Organisation and the International Atomic Agency Agency. Organises conferences related to topics in radiography, radiology and ultrasound. Provides grants for relevant research.
